Russia's Investigative Committee

Yeah, that's about as a reliable a source as WTF this news site is.

I don't have a study to cite on long term bias, but Scripps used to be newsy which used to be at least serviceable for what amounted to AP syndication.

I didn't have a clue they were still around till just this instant, but at least the foundation is not something that sprung up yesterday as a Russian puppet.

Good. Now someone book a flight for Putler.

[–] masterofn001@lemmy.ca 16 points 2 years ago (2 children)

He's too scared to fly anywhere outside Russia.

[–] TransplantedSconie@lemm.ee 19 points 2 years ago (2 children)

With the sanctions, everyone IN Russia should be scared to fly. Those plane parts are becoming more and more scarce, I imagine

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 9 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Didn't they straight up steal a bunch of aircraft right at the start of the war?

[–] TheBlackLounge@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

A plane only has one plane worth of spare parts though.

even if you're just a normal business who sources parts from Russian companies at this point.. i don't understand how anyone conducts honest business with those people.. they're all liars from birth..

[–] can@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 years ago (1 children)

I'm not advocating for doing business with Russia but I don't think it's fair to call all them liars. Remember that the Russian people are victims of Putin's antics as well.

that's a nice sentiment here on the internet.. but i'm going to change my mind when i see evidence to the contrary, that isn't simple barbarism.. brutality seems to be the only thing they're honest about.. perhaps you haven't caught on to just how natural dishonesty is for them.. pride seems to prevent a lot of people, especially Americans from recognizing it..

[–] Diprount_Tomato@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

[–] Ilikepornaddict@lemmynsfw.com 38 points 2 years ago

Confirmed by Russia. So really, no new information.

[–] theodewere@kbin.social 25 points 2 years ago (2 children)

this guy scared the SHIT out of Putin

[–] lasagna@programming.dev 7 points 2 years ago

What doesn't? At this point I'd guess most people want him dead.

[–] skillissuer@discuss.tchncs.de 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

this guy acted as a cover for putin and got all power from him. now that this plausible deniability is not needed because no one will believe it anyway, he can be discarded

[–] theodewere@kbin.social 1 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago) (1 children)

none of that makes any sense.. it must be the way Putin sees things..

I'm convinced this guy is still alive in a Russian basement somewhere, with electrodes hooked up to his balls

[–] theodewere@kbin.social 9 points 2 years ago (1 children)

pfft, Putin couldn't get anywhere near this guy.. the only way was a couple of cowardly missiles up the ass of his civilian jet.. the cowardly way.. Putin's way..

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

He was surrounded by Wagner officers at all times. That's who was on the plane with him. They took out a bunch of the Wagner upper echelon. I don't think that will be as wise a choice as they believe, but we'll see.

[–] FlyingSquid@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

He was confirmed dead when Putin offered condolences.
