It's super weird that a niche communist forum with like 100 active users is getting spammed in the first place.

Does anyone know why this is happening? Did we ban some lib who is super mad now?

They all come from the same instance, so I'm guessing that instance has little to no moderation and someone made a bunch of spambots there and they would've probably spammed all of lemmy.

It is not unusual for niche communities (forums, wikis, etc.) to get targeted by spammers. I think they expect to find less moderation or something.
