Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

The actual government has been railing against the service for being a national security threat. Donald Trump was railing against CHYNA for a moment, before he got a hankering for some of that Xi.

Yeah I was pretty sure this was one of those "A broken clock is right twice a day" moments.

As if "preaching water, drinking wine" was a new thing for those right-wingers and fundamentalists.

It is a national security threat and so is TikTok.

This is the best summary I could come up with:

Ivanka Trump’s account has a blue check mark, indicating it has been verified by TikTok.

Representatives for the Trump Organization and TikTok did not immediately respond to Fortune’s requests for comment.

The discovery of Ivanka Trump’s TikTok account comes just days after President Joe Biden’s campaign started to post videos on the service under the handle BidenHQ, in an apparent effort to reach young voters.

While still president in August 2020, Donald Trump went so far as to sign an executive order to effectively ban the use of TikTok in the U.S. by all users saying that it was a national security threat.

When President Biden entered office, he revoked and replaced this executive order with one to evaluate the security risk of apps with connection to foreign adversaries.

Still, he banned federal employees from using the video-sharing app on government-owned devices as journalists from many outlets have documented the platform’s ties to China, and history of spying on users, restricting speech, skirting its own security promises, and harming teen users.

The original article contains 311 words, the summary contains 171 words. Saved 45%. I'm a bot and I'm open source!
