A good portion of the neo-Nazis in America with paramilitary experience went to fight for Ukraine in the 2014-2015 Ukrainian civil war alongside the Azovs against Donbass separatists backed by Russia. It is unthinkable that the Nazis will somehow defect and turn around and fight against their own.

Also, you just reminded me of something unrelated but incredibly funny.
Remember when Ian from Forgotten Weapons (youtube gun channel) was promoting a new book from a Swedish fascist about his experience fighting with the Azovs? He was eventually bullied and backed down from publishing the book. That was 3 weeks before Russia invaded Ukraine.
Imagine if he had just waited for another 3 weeks - that book would probably have become a bestseller with liberals hailing the Swedish Azov fighter as the great anti-Russian hero of our time.
Close to zero would defect.
You're a soldier, you follow orders, its not for you to think about anything outside of that.
Same reason there will not be a chud led civil war in the near future, people are far too comfy for that level of radicalism outside of isolated stochastic terrorism. The material conditions aren't right. Even on the battlefield a US troop will have much nicer conditions than what the Russian military can provide

Probably could count em on one hand. You're more likely to just have people willingly surrender when they're getting overrun or surrounded than you'd see them run across the no man's land between frontlines praying they don't eat a bullet from either side.
Most likely you'll see people trying to play the Conscientious objector card, quit, or outright desert to get out of the war. But at the point we see that there's gonna be plenty of bloodthirsty people trying to sign up to take their place.
