I don't think it was meant to paint anyone in a negative light. The article is written very neutrally and quotes the artist addressing the irony.
Yeah I did not receive it in a negative way for the artist but in a way that highlights the absurdity of the situation.

I was more worried when I misread it as "Blood on the Dancefloor" (the band) which I thought would be a weird they are performing crunkcore to the mainstream.
All kinds of bands perform at the Bataclan, last show I've seen there was Lorna Shore, and the previous one was Alcest.
Yes, the Bataclan hosts A-list band like Metallica, and also much more confidential ones.
Let's just say BOTDF wasn't as well regarded as the bands you mentioned.
