“How I Met Your Father” has been canceled after two seasons at Hulu, Variety has confirmed.

The Hilary Duff-led “How I Met Your Mother” spinoff concluded its second (and now final) season July 11 without revealing who Duff’s character, Sophie, ended up having a child with. The show debuted in January 2022 and aired 30 episodes overall.

Hulu does not seem to have a good track record of keeping mid-tier comedies afloat. Last year they cancelled "Reboot" after a single season, and I thought that show had real potential.

I suppose it's not out of the realm of possibility that Hulu wouldn't be getting the "A" material, and what they get would be more cancellation prone. After all, Disney has several different TV branches that any given show could be funneled into: ABC, "Freeform", Fox, FX, Disney+, and finally Hulu. It's very possible that Hulu is getting the bottom of the barrel picks, but I thought that Reboot was quite solid, and HIMYF was OK (though certainly not great).

It really feels like Hulu is just very cancellation happy at this point.

Man, that Reboot cancellation hurt. Such a solid show with some great comedic performances. Even with it canned, I still recommend people check it out, especially if you love comedies about comedies.

That's because it's about quarterly profits

I will never forgive them for canceling Castle Rock.

This is actually kind of sad. How I met your father is nowhere near as good as the original but it was nice seeing Hillary Duff again in a show most people can relate to in some way or the other

I say to hell with the internet.... Lets all go back to Cathode tubes with Uhf/Vhf antennas and get Tv like it was meant to be. Free... and you made the kids stand in one spot to tune the antenna just right if you had any reception issues.

Bottom floor of a 3 story apartment building is hard mode.

I'm only part way through season 2, but it seemed like the show was getting into its groove better. Was really enjoyable even if not amazing.
