POV: You're flying on a Boeing and the kid in front of you won't stop crying then the door plug rips open at 20k feet and the little brat is sucked out. Thanks Boeing!

and you could smoke on the plane back then!!! but now if i hit my menthol-watermelon-mango freezie pop Juicy Vape on a flight they arrest me and put me on the "no-fly" list, whatever that is. 🙄 typical.
I just know that all the normies are going to blame "wokeness" for this.

Thanks internet for turning gen Z and gen alpha into a bunch of annoying little shits.
I just know that all the normies are going to blame "wokeness" for this.
They literally are, they say that muh "dEI" is the reason why it's happening, and not greed
I'm not liking this site's use of normie lately. We're supposed to connect with the people, not scoff at them. (Of course, rabid anti-"woke" types aren't anything close to the people and most individuals are above that line of thinking.)
No seatbelts back then since these were the days before turbulence was invented by Woke
FAKE NEWS!
2nd picture isn't of a 747
The airflow is amazing in these things?
Not shown: hijackings. 78 in 1970 alone. Single digits per year since 2003.
But fuck planes, anyway. Preventing hijackings doesn't mean it has to be so unpleasant.
Hijackings back then were also not the same as what we think of as hijackings. Nowadays our idea of what happens is coloured by 9/11 whereas most of those highjackings before, while unpleasant, weren't deadly for most of the people involved. When the majority of highjackings just lead to the plane being diverted to Cuba it isn't such a big deal, but after the idea of using them as weapons got out people decided it was time to clamp down.
Also fuck planes, high speed rail can and should replace overland routes
But I saw a documentary about train hijacking called Under Siege 2. Luckily the day was saved when a whispery voiced man grabbed the hijackers by the wrist and they breakdanced into unconsciousness.
I used to never be bothered at all by flying but I find it such a mind (and ass) numbing pain these days. Absolutely dread flying anywhere if its not a direct flight under 3 hours which doesn't leave me a lot of options where I live. Oh well, not like I can afford to travel any further than that anymore anyway
