Probably silly but: is there a way to connect to Discord from outside of it? (lemmy.world)

I would love to use a different app but I am stuck with Discord because I have to use it for work. I was wondering if there was a way to connect normally with Discord content from an open source alternative...? I know there's Revolt and Matrix which look a lot like it but I haven't used either because I don't need another Discord if I cannot use it for the same purpose I'm doing now (I have to use preexisting Discord servers and connect with coworkers who only use Discord and won't move).

If I remember correctly Matrix does support having a bridge to Discord so you can receive discord messages on Matrix, but I haven't tried it. You can probably find more on their website.
