Imagine watching 10 years of Scooby Doo and the bad guy always escapes in the end and is never revealed. That is what reading news about trump feels like.

[–] preludeofme@lemmy.world 37 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Oh no he's revealed every time and it's the same person and he just shuffles away slowly while they stand there

So more like Series of Unfortunate Events

Imagine if we all could get our bond reduced to a third of the original amount just by complaining on social media.

Don't forget to publicly insult the judges and prosecutors while you're on there. Class act.

[–] Kbin_space_program@kbin.social 24 points 1 year ago

Publicly insult and imply threats.

My takeawy is if a following of violent men are at your beck and call, you don't have to follow the law. Gang gang.

This is what he'll be trying to put together this year, inspired by his historical hero, Benito:

I doubt he'll be able to find many Trump Intellectuals to lead it all, but maybe Vlad will lend a hand.

Well does this set a precedent for US Americans moving forward or not ?

"Your Honor, my client would like to be tried as a Donald Trump until the end of the proceedings."

Turns out that judges are like a stall vendor in some movie market and you ought to haggle bond prices..

Wow. Fucking terrible allowance.

Does this mean that if I insult my judge and my prosecutor, I won't need to pay the other 2/3rds of my bond as well? Cool.

Good job New York Appellate Division. You have proven that you bend the knee to money. You had a shot at doing this right, and you fucking blew it. I wonder if bribes were involved?

For anyone wondering, this is the Appellate Court of NY: https://www.nycourts.gov/courts/AD1/justicesofthecourt/index.shtml

Edit: Really interested to see the Opening Arguments podcast's take on this.

Didn't he just say that he had enough cash on hand to cover the bond?

They could have just, like, not said anything. They could have treated him like every other fuckin Joe Schmoe who goes through the courts - you know, like they’re supposed to. But they just goddamn had to give that limpdick rapist shitfuck a break.

This is me getting slowly and inexorably radicalized by the system “working as intended”.

[–] TheMusicalFruit@lemmy.world 17 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Does anyone else have a feeling he won’t be able to come up with this amount either?

[–] LdyMeow@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 year ago

What? Nooooo…. I’m sure he can, big dick special big boy doughnald tRump is a brazillionaire!

[–] Steve@startrek.website 15 points 1 year ago

Misleading title. The article's title is "pause collection" not "block collection." I think this isn't OP's fault though since the article was probably updated.

It's just a pause while appeals are made.
