That's horrible:

"The United States in recent days authorized the transfer of billions of dollars worth of bombs and fighter jets to Israel even as it publicly expresses concerns about an anticipated military offensive in Rafah, The Washington Post reports.

Citing Pentagon and State Department officials, the American daily says the new arms package includes 1,800 MK-84 2,000-pound bombs and 500 MK-82 500-pound bombs, along with 25 F-35s that were initially approved as part of a larger package by Congress in 2008. Israel requested the third squadron of 25 F-35s last July, which when delivered will bring the total size of the fleet to 75.

Washington gives $3.8 billion in annual military assistance to Israel, its longtime ally. The US has been rushing air defenses and munitions to Israel as it fights against Hamas in Gaza, but some Democrats and Arab American groups have criticized the Biden administration’s steadfast support of Israel, and called for leveraging military aid.

“We have continued to support Israel’s right to defend itself,” a White House official tells The Washington Post. “Conditioning aid has not been our policy.”"

3,700,000,000 for the F-35s

MK-84 bombs are unguided, yet we are told "they are doing everything they can to limit civilian casualties", really? with unguided bomb? These are the larger, 2,000 lb variants as well, they cost 16k each.

8,000,000 for those bombs.

2,000,000 for the 500 lb bombs. All unguided, all to be dropped on civilians all at the will of the US government and her partner Israel.

Let's put it this way. For the cost of the jets and the bombs we just sent to be dropped on children, we could have put $16,000 in a fund for a quarter million American children so they could grow prosperous and have a bright future. But instead, the capitalist elites are profiting off denying children a future in the most cruel of ways.

Yes, but then how do capitalists get the next generation of cheap labor?

To anyone who says Biden's general lack of action towards trans people (including not helping in conservative states) is reason enough for voting, they need to reconcile this. I say that as a trans person of course. I'm not voting in November and shit like this is why.

Is there no decent (by which i mean unassociated with either Democrats or Republicans) third party where you live that you could vote for? Not that there is any difference in the general electoral outcome between voting third party and not voting at all, but i'm thinking that maybe if there's a third party in your area that you think is ok and they are seen to get at least a few thousand votes they can start to build a base of support to maybe win smaller local elections later on down the line. And any political office denied to a Democrat or a Republican no matter how small is a good thing.

A community for everything related to Palestine and the occupation currently underway by the occupying force known as Israel.

Anti-Zionism is not anti-Semitism. Existence is resistance for Palestinians.

Please refer to Israel as Occupied Palestine, or occupied territories. The IDF is a fascist and ethnonationalist occupying force. Israelis are settlers. We understand however that the imperial narrative (which tries to legitimise Israel) is internalised in the imperial core and slip-ups are naturally expected.

We always take the sides of Palestine and Palestinians and are unapologetic about it. Israel is an occupying power whose "defence force"'s (note the contradiction) sole purpose for existing is to push Palestinians out so they can resettle their rightful land. If you have anything positive to say about Israel we do not care.
