That would have been my first guess as well. I just liked that one as a teen. Its not even like I know many flying dinos. The only other I know by name is Pteranodon.

I think a lot about how avians went from scales to skin (probably long before they were avians). I think all of the evidence supports that feathers themselves are created in the same biological process as scales, which is the cause for bird's completely lacking scales as they differentiated from other Archosaur Reptiles.
