It's a bug that persists through loading screens, so I guess she's stuck with the new cut.

she had no face for a few scenes on mine, but she had hair, lol
She was bald for a good while, and then just showed up for work one day with her hair grown back and no explanation. Didn’t have to rebuild cache, but I’m gonna do it anyways the next time I play.
That only happened to my own character so far. But she likes to lose her lower arms, legs and her left eye.

Turns out if you have flawless facial structure you can pull off any haircut
Did you try to rebuild shaders? If you are using steam.
This just happens sometimes. It can also remove her lower arms, lower legs, or her left eye. At least that are the three that I keep seeing.
