How is that awful? The deep dive videos are all we need to understand generally what the new things are, and why we should be looking forward to it. Isn't that all marketing can do?

I'm also a kagi user and share the same feelings about it. Definitely worth it. Specially since I know my search data is not used to bias search results or sell ads on the search results.

Steam's Proton is an absolute game changer. Unless you cannot live without a few very specific competitive titles, chances are Proton has you covered. Does not require any technical know-how (for the most part). I cannot stress enough how much of a technical and UX achievement Proton is.

Give something like Pop_OS! a try.

FOSS is the ultimate form of software. It's like life, it will just get copied and forked and modified, and it will continue to evolve because it's been set free in the world.

Yeah, Facebook might embrace-extend-extinguish the Fediverse. But on the other hand, it's not the end of the world if they do. Right now, we have a decentralized platform to post, talk and interact on. If that changes, we will create another one

To me, the most interesting part about this is that the Fediverse is even on ~~Facebook's~~ Meta's radar. It's tiny. Do they see it as a possible competitor?

Fairphone was literally my top choice before I bought my current smartphone, until I found out I couldn't get it. So this is great, hopefully they still sell it whenever I update my phone (which won't happen for a few years). Several other people have already commented something along these lines, but I'm just happy about it.

Fascinating! I wonder how long it took to evolve the herbivore diet.

A few days ago I didn't have a single reason to leave reddit. Yet, with so many reasons now, here I am, and I look forward to lemmy and kbin.
