I found it falls off very hard late game in the demon halls where the guardian just gets wrecked by every enemy and you don't do enough damage to really heal it or build up your armor
I did win the game with that wand (vampiric +5 wand of living earth) but I got carried by a wand of corrosion
I think it just had issues yesterday, I was using it to watch episodes of CSI asy background noise show and last night it had no "episodes list" despite me being able to play the next episode
The crystal also can damage the guardians
Congrats! I saw that it updated Monday to the final version but I waited for the official blog post
The new caves quest is much more fun than the original, and having subfloors is a great idea to help expand the game further. Kinda sad the colored triangles (the crystals before the better sprite work) are gone now though :P
Except to use that analogy, all those star wars spinoffs gave us quite possibly the best piece of star wars media out there (Andor)

At the same time, I think they tried to pick a plot point that was relevant today, while at the same time conveniently setting up a new bad guy since the Kaylon were "removed" as a threat. I also don't see it as the most implausible situation, since both Orville (and star trek) can basically change your gender at will, it's not the most absurd situation that a culture is so macho that they have been genetically altering all children at birth to make it 100% male
I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that!
