I think he means Steam's refund policy is not available to anyone outside the US because they only implemented it to comply with a US law, so like if you are in a country without similar consumer protection laws they don't offer the refund policy. (its not just the US btw, places like Canada and the EU also have the Steam refund policy)

The reason this is interesting is because it's the reverse of gas cars. Typically the best efficiency of a gas vehicle is on the highway but for EVs you get much more efficiency in local streets

Honestly I just hope this backfires and less Canadians end up using Facebook, we'd definitely be much better off

I know the recent patch added that you now have to long press on the username to have the action bar appear on comments in your inbox but personally I find that a redundant step and preferred the way it was before, could it possibly be an option in the settings to turn the action bar on by default?

Personally I disagree, I use small card view and for short posts I can read all the information on it without having to open it. Especially for posts with low engagement like for example a new 'asklemmy' post, the question might be interesting but no comments, so I'll upvote hoping to increase the visibility and hopefully have someone answer the post. Hiding the vote buttons would reduce engagement overall which at this point in time with a low population engagement needs to be made as fast and as easy as possible to encourage it

"What we've seen now from the past month of heat is that the high-elevation snow is rapidly depleting," said Jonathan Boyd, a hydrologist with B.C.'s River Forecast Centre. "We're on pace to be the earliest snow-free that the province has recorded."
