Unfortunately, you are being very sane about it. We live in an insane society.

Most people I know are not aware of all the forces that make up their consciousness. I've kind of learned that Plato's cave analogy is the exact problem I run into with these people. I can't change their consciousness completely, but maybe plant some seeds and hope they grow into something. Alot of the time if I share my views it boils down to a "what are you going to do about" which is very individualist thinking, but also not really wrong to ask. I just don't like that the person asking thinks they themselves are excluded from having to choose an action. Moving to China is also something I thought about, but I do feel like it's not really the answer unless things get extremely bad.

I also think if you are alone in these views (in your real life, not including online) then you're going to go crazy. I found some people in real life that are like minded and that has made me feel a bit better.

There are alot of posts dunking on libs (deservedly so) but I can't help but think that its because the fascists have basically gotten everything they wanted and the liberals are just easy targets right now due to them not having a stable ideology.

Not trying to defend these people, but shitting on them doesn't really make me feel any better about the situation. It just illustrates more the powerlessness of the left and the strength of the right.

I do feel like the American government is becoming so blatant in its corruption and evil that it's worse than the fake narrative these libs have in their head about China. At least before it wasn't so obvious to a casual observer.

Oh duh to build the infrastructure. Can't wait for the only jobs in the future to be back breaking labour to build AI infrastructure while the Earth burns

What are these hundreds of thousands of jobs? I swear the only reason capitalists are investing in AI is so they can try to get rid of workers

I think Canada can absolutely fight back against the tariffs, but I don't believe any of the leaders would do it. Trudeau sucks and is stepping down and whoever replaces him is probably not going to be that much different. PP would sell out the country for a nickel.

Word. I'm getting Barron Trump thirst traps and Elon sieg heiling

The absurdity of capitalism is that everyone around me is still just going on as normal, head down working in their meaningless job while all this fascist shit is accelerating at breakneck pace.

I guess this is something I already knew -- we can't rely on people coming to their senses. Shit's going to require active organization and militancy.

History isn't predetermined, but I've been reading about the history of fascism and I imagine it will be somewhat similar to what happened in Germany in the 1930s.

We'll see more inflation, workers rights repealed, the proletarianization of the "middle class" especially those not unionized. Government will probably intervene when some companies start collapsing, but it will never nationalize these companies ensuring that the profits are always private. There will also be need of a scapegoat for all these crises so lots of violence against the poor and minorities unfortunately

ngl, I had this realization when he took office in 2017. I genuinely thought the president had limited powers because of how limited Obama was in passing good things, but then day 1 Trump disproved that

Probably has to do with American films and media being their window into what the US is like. I kinda don't expect them to hate on Elon because if you're seeing what he does from afar it all seems to be pretty positive, especially if english isnt your native language.
