Classic “I wish we lived in the world conservatives think exists”
Marvel Rivals - Started playing with some of my wow guild mates, v fun. I don’t get super into hero shooters but it’s a fun thing to do with friends.
Dredge - Finally got around to pirating it, nice game to play while my spouse and I listen to a podcast
Baldur’s Gate 3 - Slow progress, don’t have that much time I can really sit down with headphones on and focus on something but it’s so good.
Ah okay yes that’s the part I misunderstood, that is fucked. When it’s not costing you anything or limiting you just attribute credit ffs
Imagine if Nancy Pelosi was secretly funding Maoist guerillas in Kentucky
So not even shut down by Nintendo, shut down by someone who went “waaah waaah this is copyright infringement”?
Yeah man you’re making the “Pirate Games” machine of course there’s copyright infringement involved I’m shocked you ever thought there wasn’t
“Program on Wii uses Wii code” no shit? Of course it would. It’s a program on the Wii!
Am I missing something here?
Progressive’s plug-in thing that gives you a discount if you don’t brake too hard strongly encourages running red lights and slowing down to a dangerous degree on rural roads long before your turn, threatening you with increased rates if you don’t do these dangerous things.
Like, these things should be so very incredibly illegal. A device that charges you money for slamming on your brakes is a device that discourages quickly braking when necessary, which is so fucking dangerous.
Patents should be so specific that it’s basically a joke how easy it is to get around them. Like, anything past building the exact same product to the exact specifications listed shouldn’t be patent infringement.
I should be able to build an iPhone 15 but all the components are 5% bigger so they don’t match the patent filing and it’s not infringement. For digital things, unless I straight up stole your code and assets, absolutely not.
Also patents should expire after like, 5 years, 10 at the most. Not just because I hate capitalism. Even using the explicit logic behind why patents exist, longer patent terms are harmful. You allow people to patent things to “encourage innovation” by ensuring people have the right to profit off their inventions. But after a few years that’s done, and longer terms prevent people from building on the work of people that came before.
I have to assume they will be, allowing enemy officers to join you no-questions-asked seems like a poor choice in basically every situation
This particular one is kind of a moment for me. Horrible sign for other things, but honestly I’d be in favor of banning all SHEIN products in the first place.
essential to making such things as military drones
I’ll be honest they should’ve stopped selling us anything needed to make military drones years ago unless the US stopped its anti-China rhetoric.
Don’t sell bullets to the guy who keeps telling anyone who will listen how ready he is to go shoot you and your family.
Dear Nancy,
Enclosed you will find a plan to go down in history as a positive figure instead of a feckless ghoul good at nothing but insider trading.
