The campaign is going pretty much how it was drawn up from the beginning when Zohran was polling at 1%. Aside from a few minor tweaks given changing conditions/current events, we knew what we challenges we had to overcome to get here and honestly wouldn’t have been able to do it without materialist analysis.

I have been so active working for this campaign that I can’t wait to stop hearing about it for a bit, but we will definitely be hearing more. There’s going to be a 4-5 way competition in the general election

In early voting it is estimate Zohran has an almost 10% lead with nearly 400000 votes already cast. Also this election is going to be on a day with nearly record heat in NYC. The temperature is going to be >100°F (38°C) in most of the city, which is going to depress turnout of Cuomo’s base, who are typically old and live farther from their polling places
Democratic Socialist candidate for mayor of NYC, Zohran Mamdani, has officially taken his first lead in an independently conducted poll, pulling ahead of Cuomo in round 8 of ranked choice voting 52%-48%
With only a 3% MOE and 4% undecided voters left, who have been falling heavily towards Zohran as this race unfolds, I am cautiously optimistic. The Zohran campaign’s voter outreach has been unreal, and seems to be fairly easily overcoming being outspent $10-$1 by the Cuomo campaign.

If you live near or around sea level, especially in the Tampa Bay area, you can not survive the forecasted storm surge by accident. This is not a joke. I know you may have lived in Florida your whole life and been through dozens of hurricanes, but it only takes one you aren’t prepared for. As a result of having narrowly avoided multiple severe hurricane impacts over the past 100 years, the Tampa Bay area has been built up with little consideration for the fact that it eventually would be hit. The only regional trauma center is at sea level and on an island.

I think that China could do absolutely untold damage to the American psyche and illusion of invulnerability if it simply instantly obliterated these clowns on Taiwan from hundreds of kilometers away with a cloud of drones dense enough to block out the sun. America treats the navy seals like they are all Master Chief, when in reality they are just guys who can carry a log and swim for a long time or some shit. Maybe that matters when you’re like… raiding a compound of a guy who has been on the run for decades while he’s asleep with Neon Genesis Evangelion playing on the TV, but genuinely what are these guys going to do to actually fight back against China? China will never even let them see a single PLA soldier lmao.
