It's just my personal experience but people are way more personable and willing to talk to me now that I'm fairly muscular than when I was more average skinny build, and chuds both listen to me and avoid potentially political subjects. Could just as easily be having better posture or more confidence generally, but both of those have come from getting fit, too.
