Full disclosure: I am one of the most prolific posters on /r/aiwars because arguing on the internet is my vice and it is an infinite source of people to argue with. The guy who posted your example of nazi shit has apparently blocked me, but I have absolutely seen it there in the past, albeit in a thread full of people shitting on the mod for not blocking the dude.

fair share of doomsday rats have sneaked in trying to co-opt the movement

There's a group called "Pause AI" that is exactly this, EA funded (iirc) org trying to astroturf artists against AIart.

Setting up email and actually getting into people's mailbox isn't trivial.

It's rdrama, they're in another league of weird. Fun fact: TheMotte is using a fork of rdrama's code.

they [nrx and LW] clearly are completely different groups who only party and fuck around together

Or at least not provably not insane.

The article on GamerGate is also awesome, but my favorite part is probably that it contains the very best article about Trump you're ever going to read.

[–] Evinceo@awful.systems 14 points 4 months ago

Especially since he posted on TheMotte that the connection between NRX and LW was quote 'fabricated.'

[–] Evinceo@awful.systems 19 points 4 months ago

fabricating ties between LessWrong and neoreaction

Lmao

I knew the yarvin afterparty fact would come in handy later

Why did evolution give most males so much testosterone instead of making low-T nerds

Dude needs to crack open a biology textbook and read up on the rest of the animal kingdom. The Winestein-ian attempts to explain every facet of human behavior and physiology in terms of it helping humans survive is just dead wrong.

Maybe the difference is that Rhysider is doing journalism and Zitron is much more soapboxing. I'm hoping he gets the rants out of his system early (or maybe confines them to his blog where they're more than welcome) if he's going to continue doing interviews, because there are moments where he injects his own opinion after a guest answers and it's a bit awkward. His interview with the Onion guy was great, but his interview with the SEO wizard was kinda painful at times, even though she had really interesting things to say.

Rhysider's editorial comments come off a bit naieve and even a bit childish at times. His good attitude is sort of infectious though.
