Bet you every penny you ever made that I could do it in one quarter of the time that most of the pros do it. There's a reason they have the training season.

I want more hometown sports. I daydream about leagues funded by local communities, starring local talent, with smaller local crowds.

With pros, it's just whichever fucker can get paid enough to bring them here. I don't give a shit about their playing. I only watch because it's someone I know, so I can go congratulate them later. Otherwise, I'd much rather be playing the damn game. The highest I'll go is high school level sports. Those kids are still a part of my community. I know their parents, I probably know them.

Maybe, maaaaaybe, I'd watch other local adults play, but only if they're my friends. It would be much better to just have more participation in adult leagues within the community. I'd play a thousand times against others in my area, getting my ass kicked if the good fellas join together, before I'd watch a game with people I don't know.

They still need FEDERAL judges to even bring an indictment, WITH EVIDENCE OF A CRIME, in order to get a warrant, and then maybe arrest somebody.

Judges DO NOT have to keep wasting their time with the DOJ requesting indictments if they continue to prove in court that are acting in bad faith (mala fides). So maybe one or two tries at this, and the DOJ will never allow them to file for this bullshit again.

I'm sure they'll just start taking everything to certain judges to get them rubber stamped. We already know there's one out there who will publicly suck on trump.

I'm not familiar enough with colorado law to say whether it bans any 'average joe blow' person from deadnaming, or just in official acts by a business or government entity. The short summary posted by demifriend seems to make it mostly just organizational level entities, like courts considering children's placement in custody, or school related matters.

I'm actually pleasantly surprised by how much movies get right with rowing and sailing in movies.

The one that does make me roll my eyes is the scenes where characters are chilling in the galley or bed and then suddenly run up because they hear/see a problem through a porthole. I always get pretty grumpy with the idea of folks being actively under sail and simply 'tying' the wheel or tiller and going under the deck. Only the incredibly expensive sailboats can truly get away with that. A small, affordable to a middle class type, yacht will have that with a motor, but sails are not so forgiving. If the wind changes you could have a pretty bad day, and even a perfectly 'straight' tiller will likely have you turning circles ere long. That's not even considering how poor of a decision that would be unless you were a military ship in the middle of the ocean and others would get out of your way. Just because collisions are super de duper unlikely doesn't mean they're impossible.

I've seen one in real life. Maybe they just carried a fake id card as a joke, but this was in a billing department so I'm assuming it was real.
