That's a valid point.
I think we should just be ourselves. We will all sort ourselves into groups. No need to impress anyone.
As an old programmer who has used git since Linus whipped it up over one frenzied weekend after his spat with the evil BitKeeper and who has studied its mysteries since before most of you were born ... yeah just delete the damn project and download a new version.
I appreciate they have unlocked bootloaders. Now that I'm comfortable upgrading my old phones with the latest Android and security updates I'll never buy another phone that doesn't let me unlock the bootloader like Samsung. It's why I replaced my Note.
