I've seen some polls suggesting it is pretty unpopular. Lots of blue seats were won againdt major transphobes these last two years in some surprising places. I also think anecdotally having to hear anyone irl harp on about trans hate or LGBT hate is extremely off-putting for everyone. Most of my family is right wing and there is only 1 person in my whole extended family that will randomly bring up trans issues and everyone tells them to shut up lol. It's just not a real concern for a lot of people.

The thing is too is this type of hate is way more prevalent online, we've been bombarded with it. But when the right has actual sieg heiling nazis showing up to rallies/protests against drag its an extremely bad look for even the less moderate right wingers.

I think it depends too on where you live. Some places are definitely just always going to hafe anyone not cis

What's weird to me is how overall unpopular alot of the anti trans and general anti LGBT shit is for regular people. This seems like a very bad move politically on top of morally. I don't really get it. I mean I guess trying to rationalize libs is a losing battle tho

Treat Orc:

  • Is happy eating slop
  • Doesn't care about anything or anyone's treat so long as I have my own
  • Will fight you if you try to talk trash about my slop
  • Expensive treats are gross to me, can't understand them

Perfectly encompasses American society lol. MFers thought they were freedom fighters cause they couldn't get their tasty treats without a mask. And yes, Huntington Beach is hella chuddy, I've driven through it a ton and there is always ridiculous political signage like blaming Newsome for the water drought haha

doesn't take a marxist to want wealth like this distributed more efficiently.

I'll watch anything, doesn't even have to be heavy into fiction but the more unique the better. Also non English films are fine if it has subs. I really need to make a letterboxd account one of these days so I can track what I watch better.

Cheers.

I tried to do some nature walking the first time I was in FL and I had a tiny bug fly in my eye and my mouth at one point. The mosquitoes where everywhere but they seemed 10x worse when going through any wooded area. It was miserable. Couldn't enjoy it and regretted even attempting it

I felt a ripple in my soul after seeing this

i don't get it, sounds sick as fuck dude

In the same thread, Chad brought this part up,

It is worth noting that as of early 2019, @RobMonster was mutuals with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman

This is the first comment I saw opening the thread and it will be the last. Thank you for your service, and you're absolutely right, I really don't care lol not gonna read the debate

Obviously this has some glaring flaws on the surface level, but I'm just sitting here wondering which lucky so called "third world" country gets the first contract to virtually drive American streets for a dollar an hour. Oops, internet lagged a bit, and your uber driver just drove into the delta, sorry bud.

This also can potentially skirt an immense amount of labor laws, and since big tech looooooves to "disrupt" things I have zero faith in its safety. https://www.fastcompany.com/90653650/halo-driverless-car-sharing-service

As the Vietnam War raged in 1969, John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono held two week-long Bed-ins for Peace, one at the Hilton Hotel in Amsterdam and one at the Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal, each of which were intended to be nonviolent protests against wars, and experimental tests of new ways to promote peace. The idea is derived from a "sit-in", in which a group of protesters remains seated in front of or within an establishment until they are evicted, arrested, or their demands are met

They spent their honeymoon in the presidential suite (Room 702) at the Amsterdam Hilton Hotel for a week between March 25 and 31, inviting the world's press into their hotel room every day between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m.

:lmayo:

During April 1969, Lennon and Ono sent acorns to the heads of state in various countries around the world in hopes that they would plant them as a symbol of peace.

fair enough points. i just saw another video of a bunch of cops demolishing a bunch of tents and it really fuckin pissed me off, it's just absurd to me how they can think they're doing anything but being horrible

they were fuckin smiling as someone pleaded with them to let them get their stuff after it was already in a garbage truck. just infuriating

Do you think cops have to have a missing part of their brain to do their jobs? Or like do they actively suppress rational thought and empathy? Maybe they just essentially lie to themselves about tearing up and destroying tent encampments people use to survive?

"You did a racism. You did an imperialism. You did a nationalism. You did a xenophobia. You did a white fragility. You did a weak apology. You did no growth. This makes it abundantly clear you don't understand the intersectional nature of the multiplicity of your offenses"
