My old internet provider had a function on their website that would do something to fix your Internet connection from their end. I lost internet one day and went to use it, but they replaced the mobile version of their website with a page telling me to download the app. Fine, I'll download the app, which is clearly just a wrapper for the website. But for some reason you can't access that function through the app.

There was a Balenciaga ad that had some paper with text visible. The text was from the SCOTUS ruling that said virtual CP was not CP under the law. They sued the producer of the ad, claiming it was them that provided the prop.
Weird as hell, but I'm not sure it means anything.
You can be a monopoly without being an illegal monopoly. Monopoly is when one company has an outsized market share, an illegal monopoly is when they use that market share to stifle competition.
Nobody sells their car in reaction to a catalytic converter theft. They just get more reactionary politics when it comes to crime, and become more likely to shoot a stranger that wanders into their yard.
I read a story where an elderly dementia patient died during a helicopter ambulance ride that cost more than value of the family home. The craziest part is that insurance would have paid a fraction of the price, but the ambulance service had no reason to negotiate with an estate that had an asset to take.
Normally I wouldn't feel too bad about someone not getting their inheritance, but the daughter had moved in to keep her mom from going to a nursing home.
I read this last week. I'm still having a hard time processing my thoughts on it. It's clearly a brilliantly written book, but I feel like I'd need to read it again to really understand it.
I knew I was getting into a dark book, but damn it fucked with my mood.
The part of this story that amazed me was that the dark web dealer sent real worms. If you sent capsules with something inert like sand in them, what would be the consequences? Nobody is going to be able to tell it's not real before the escrow is released.
Sending the real worms is an actual legal risk, I'd think.
They should have promised the ability to work while you sleep. Tech bro types will throw piles of cash at it.
I don't agree with this. It's a bummer when your favorite piracy source goes down, but telling people is the only way other people find out. I want everyone, especially poor people, to know how to easily access pirated stuff.
The IP lawyers are always going to find it anyway, and new sources come pretty quick when the old ones die.
That's a good way to think about it, thanks. I think I can work my training plan into something that averages out to 80% a day over 7 days.
Anyone exercise without off days?
I find it so difficult to go running after a day off that I'm seriously considering it. I'm thinking of trying 7 days a week, with 2 light days instead on 6 days on and 1 day off.
Off days don't seem to help me recover much anyway. Whenever I get a minor injury it seems to heal much better if I do a light jog instead of sitting around.
4 times a day. I used to do 2x but found it harder to taper, so I divided the same dose out into 4. Last time I got completely off it I was doing 6 tiny doses a day at the end.
In my experience how long the effects last is affected by how finely ground the Kratom is. I've had very fine powder that gives a more intense but shorter lasting effect, and gritty powder that lasts 8+ hours.
