Same, except I did watch the last episode. Agreed on Jet (perfection), and Julia/Vicious (what the everloving fuck). Spike and Faye were fine. Even with the missteps, I was still willing to see where they were taking it, if given time for a few course corrections. But they hit that cancel button pretty much immediately.

Engineer Guy went years between ~~books~~ uploads. I had to do a double take when he came up in my feed a few months ago.

Michael Keaton happened.

It's almost as if political dynasties/neoptism/cronyism shouldn't be a thing. Fuck Trump. And fuck Menendez. And Kennedy. Bush, Clinton, Cheney, Paul, Ashcroft, and probably dozens of others that aren't coming immediately to mind.

Form the minute lil Robert declared he was running, the local media simply treated him as the heir to his dad's old seat. Because it was true. He cruised on connections, many of them because his daddy is a crook. I'm hoping Andy Kim can primary senior if he wriggles free again, but Murphy's wife is also running and would you look at that, now we're right back at unqualified people pretending they can govern just because of who they're related to.

Maybe one day junior will prove that he's not just riding coattails as a golden boy. But it's going to take more than an outburst to do it.

I just want you to know that you are not alone. Now please pardon me while I go yell at the clouds to get off my lawn.

Thanks, I'll have to keep that in mind. We just started season 5 of TNG so it shouldn't be too much longer before DS9 is up.

I've also hung onto my old CRT (and consoles, players, etc.), I just haven't had anywhere to hook it up for the past decade plus. My Blu-ray player does a pretty good job at upscaling, but you're right - SD is going to look a lot better on the originally targeted hardware.

This is why I own most of star trek on dvd. Cant take that away from me.

I was so disappointed when the HD remasters stopped. I snapped up TOS, Animated, TNG, and all the movies on Blu-ray (replacing DVDs in the case of the movies and TNG) despite them being available on Netflix at the time. I was really looking forward to catching up with DS9 and Voyager the same way since I was only able to catch them sporadically when they were airing... but no, it seems these are doomed to remain in SD purgatory.

Live with underlying existential dread for decades. Watch as "doing what you love" becomes "hating what you used to love because you're forced to do it so that there's enough numbers in the computer to prove that you're worthy of continued existence." Contemplate the pointlessness of it all on a daily basis. Be reminded that your feelings are invalid because "other people have it worse" every time the topic comes up. Nod listlessly as "successful" people tout their own hard work while ignoring any factor luck and privilege played, then tune out when they shift into the dissonant duet of "I succeeded because I am exceptional" and "anyone can do the same if they just work harder."

Wake up the next morning and realize there's roughly 30 more years of this, barring a massive coronary or aneurism or something.

My thought process went a little something like:

Holy shit that's a sweet photo, is it shopped? AI?

Omg those dresses are gonna be covered in dog hair.

Why would it be illegal to use a dog as a flower girl?

...OH! 🤦‍♂️

He tried blackjack already. Poor guy couldn't figure out how to keep multiple casinos, an industry known for basically printing money, afloat. Truly baffling considering what a genius businessman he is.

Apparently these went live at 11pm ET last night, but you need to filter by Campaign > Gundam Next Future.

  • EG Grandpa Eggshell edition
  • EG Lau (Gundam Base limited blue version)
  • Zakupla-Kun
  • HG Aerial (Recirculation color)
  • MG Freedom (Real Type)
  • MG Justice (Real Type ver "bright blue is totally realistic")

Eggshell Grandpa has been around for a while. Lau is definitely new. I believe the rest are as well.

Decent sized drop this week. The RG XN Raiser and HG Witch From Mercury option parts are new, everything else I believe is a reprint.

Does anyone know if PB did an effect parts set for the standard RG Nu? Or was it only included in the special edition of the regular release? This is the second or third time they've put the Hi Nu set up for order.

For as phenomenal is the game is, we sure are getting some lame cop-outs in place of tying up loose ends.

Edit: looks like the spoiler tags render correctly on the web page, but not all apps support it.

tl;drIt was magic and just disappeared and people are used to magic so... yeah shit's gone, yo

This makes an excellent phone lock screen IMO. Classy af.

I used to be indifferent to the Black Tri-Stars (the Ocean dub made them out to be yokels on top of being bad guy of the week for Amuro to dunk on), but eventually I came across their Zaku I and II customs and fell in love. At some point I learned about what absolute terrors they were to the Federation fleet during the OYW. It cast their OG appearance in a different light for me. I am 100% a fan now.
