Android I think just uses same credentials you use to unlock account, at least I am not aware of any recovery key. And you are prompted for credentials from time to time so it is harder to forget. I use fingerprint as main unlock + pattern and I have to enter pattern roughly once a week I think.

On Windows if you set up Windows Hello (fingerprint or PIN usually), you are not reminded to enter password afterwards so eventually you can forget it. And if you do not know your password and cannot recover account, you will not be able to retrieve BitLocker recovery key. So fix to this problem could be another annoyance to users if it would be implemented as Android does it.

Most likely this is the #1 reason. When Passkeys will become more popular, that will be another problem for regular users unless there is an easy account recovery option.

Another possibility could be switching to local account and deleting MS account, but I would imagine that is more rare and most people would just abandon account. Then it can become the same issue with forgotten password though.

In one of my exams I forgot to remove my watch till the end of exam and later thought result will be cancelled, but luckily it was accepted. I think proctor even commented on that in the end so I was double worried.

Handle of 5 is the best. They usually also have a bit of a weight in it, I hate light forks.

This should be a link to LinkedIn post, but it is deleted along with Medium post. It was 112 not 86 if that makes it better. Or maybe 112 is second attempt after realizing what first result means.

I cannot post a screenshot, but you can see some cached info if you search for ″Ricardo Gabriel David IQ test″ in Bing (Bing shows an image for Medium article).

I know my work colleague is not. His Switch was cracked for I think 100+ eur which seems quite high, but since you can afterwards download pretty much any title from some pirate marketplace, that investment has been covered at least tenfold.

Another example is Exchange where all Admin Center (GUI) operations are calling PS commands underneath. Not everything is in Admin Center so you must use PS eventually. Not to mention that you cannot perform batch tasks without scripting.

I love its Verb-Noun system and verbose parameter names. It's easy to understand what command or parameter does just by the name. Get-MailboxPermission probably retrieves mailbox permissions, Stop-Process stops process, Remove-ADUser deletes AD user etc. If there would be no auto complete I might find it irritating, but once you get a hang of it, it's a breeze.

I would not put them in same category. Apple and Samsung make smartwatches. Garmin is offering sportwatches. If Garmin is really trying to compete with smartwatches, they are dumb.

There is this novel concept - being allies. Current US government should look into it.
