Who would ever believe these used to be curtains.

Turn that into a grilled cheese and you've hit gold

“Women are desperate for proper health care that is made for them, by them and that they can trust … this technology is not only wanted, but desperately needed.”

I was thinking it'd be a fab tattoo.

Coincidentally, I was recently trying to remember which show starred a succubus, so thanks for referencing that!

I love Marvel, but they've done their share of fat shaming men. Chris Hemsworth wore a fat suit for Endgame and wasn't even that big, but took a lot of guff. Chris Pratt as Peter Quill got told he was "one sandwich away from fat." I'm not arguing that men always get fat-shamed in the same way or to the same degree as women, but they absolutely get it, and I think it's unfair to the men who are respectfully abiding by the rules and not commenting here to insinuate (or actually directly state) that they don't experience this. Also unfair to the women who love them and have to watch as they experience this pain.

Just for context, I am not the one downvoting these comments.

I can't keep it clean because unfortunately I am allowed on the sofa.

I guess we have a different definition of rail-thin, because I would not use it to describe anyone with bulging muscles. I also have trouble envisioning a 90-lb stay-puft woman of the same height.

Is this meant to be hyperbole? If not, can you provide examples? It seems wildly inaccurate to me.

Yes you do. Men are not immune from fat shaming.

Mine Cart Madness was one of the best levels in any game fight me.

Unlikely. My mom and aunt have a solid contract drawn up and notarized, they have a good relationship, and are both responsible people.

We have a reprieve.

  • CDC data shows 70 bird flu cases were reported in the U.S., but there are no known person-to-person exposures in the U.S. right now, eliminating the need for the virus' emergency declaration.
  • The agency will continue to monitor the situation and report data on the number of people monitored and tested for bird flu monthly.
  • Detections in animals will no longer be reported on the CDC's website, but can be found on the USDA's website.

I'll start with:

  • Boss Bitch - Doja Cat
  • Goddess - Krewella and NERVO
  • You Should See Me in a Crown - Billie Eilish
  • Beneath my Throne - Nina Tribus
  • When I Rule the World - LIZ

Y'all it's bout to be 100 degrees all next week where I am. My ideal temp is between 60-70 so I'm wilting at the thought.

I love love love layers and accessories, but that is difficult right now. So here's what I've got:

  • loose, open, light-colored cotton tops that can be worn over a tank top.
  • hats that allow ventilation but keep the sun out of your eyes.
  • lightweight jewelry can be layered.
  • I don't step outside in any degree weather without sunglasses.
  • if you're pulling your hair up, there are all kinds of bows and scarves that will add interest without adding insulation.

If anyone has tips for staying fashionable in the extreme heat, I'd love to hear them!

I have a couple of men's button-down shirts with fun patterns.

I love neckties and bowties, though I don't get to wear them often.

I get most of my tees from the men's section. The women's tees are always cut smaller and usually too tight no matter the size.

I want to get a waistcoat.

First time having a turtle on my porch.

Other side:

I was reading about Mel Gibson's anti-semitic rants, and his apology about being drunk* when I remembered this meme. I agree with the meme, that our brains tend to feed us what we've heard from our environment, but our conscious mind overrides that with our processed thoughts.

People use "he didn't mean it, he was drunk/high" as an excuse for racist/misogynist/whateverist comments. The response is typically "you don't become racist when drunk, you just drop your inhibitions and reveal who you are."

But if you agree with the First Thought meme, what if being impaired isn't revealing what you really think, but is preventing you from thinking at all, and just getting stuck on your conditioned response?

*Gibson is just an example. This post is not about litigating whether he personally is racist, but about this sort of behavior in general.
