I know I've made many posts about this and I'm sorry, but it really is crucial that I get this place. Once I get the surgery for the prosthetic I can't stay and recover at their clinic so I must have a place to stay at and for some reason my landlord is trying to get more money for this deposit.

I'm getting quite nervous to be honest and I'm panicked whenever I get a call from her asking about the money.

Hey so I literally just got out of homelessness and my landlord is asking for an extra $50 on top of the first, last and security deposit. I don't have that 50 dollars and already had to take a payday loan to get this place so I'm quite stressed.

I also have to have a place to rest to recover for my prosthetic surgery that's coming up.

Can I just stay and pay her when I get paid from my new job? I've already given her first and last I don't know why she's asking for an additional 50 from me but I really need this place. If you've been homeless before then you know what I mean.

All advice appreciated thanks.

Hey! I would like to thank this community again for all of the help it's given me thus far. I now have a new job, fancy work clothes and soon I'll have a new freaking arm I'm so excited!

My landlord increased the deposit he needed by 50. Whether this is illegal or not I'm not sure but I don't really have the luxury of finding another place to rent (once you become homeless you never want to go through that again)

I'm asking for $50 to pay the deposit. This will likely be my last post in this community unless I come back to pay for arm. Thank you all very much!

Hey, I just really wanted to reiterate that a second arm would massively improve my quality of life. I don't want to come across as needy but that is the honest truth of the matter.

I was able to negotiate with the university group who would be responsible for making my arm after explaining to them my troubles with homelessness so the price has been substantially reduced for the construction and installation of the prosthetic.

I made a post here earlier about my work attire so thank you all for the feedback.

I'm starting a new job soon but I still have yet to secure a place so I'm currently still homeless at the moment. I just need a little bit of food to hold me over for the month.

The staff at the food bank first asked if I was a student, then they asked me if I was employed and told me to show them the offer letter. One of them asked me how I lost the arm and I said I wasn't comfortable in saying why.

They then finally asked me where I live and I stupidly said that I was homeless. They then told me that they can't offer any assistance to me at this moment and urged me to leave.

I feel so humiliated and defeated. I thought food banks provided for everyone.
