I can think of some other cuts around the royal family that would save money…

Yeah but that is still pretty identifiable, the same way fingerprinting works pretty well for finding a user with a specific screen resolution, os, fonts, etc that already makes a specifically small subset of users that you can start to find patterns and identify individuals. The tiny subset of users who might be tempted to go about anonymising inputs is already thinning the field huuugely

  1. if they work reliably these tracking techniques will become pervasive across the internet.

  2. this is one of those things where the more you anonymise your data the more identifiable it is compared to everyone else’s non anonymous data.

  3. see above

  4. yeah…

I mean you’re welcome to post a competing view and argue it competently from an intelligent well reasoned position grounded in fact… you haven’t done that though, and you’re complaining that people who have done that who are refuting your hot air are an “echo chamber”.

It’s like going onto a maths forum and saying 0.99999…≠1 with zero substance to your claims only vibes and then having multiple people show proofs in various different ways to show you that infact 0.999999…=1 and you blocking the maths forum and calling it an echo chamber.

It is, a private company should have the opportunity to provide that service.

Sigh. Nobody want to be prison labour anymore.

Yeah I don’t own a pair either too rich for my blood, but you used to be able to find them on deals for more like $350.

I made a pair of leather Moc boots inspired by these, and really dig them - but that’s obviously not for everyone.

These are very expensive, but if well maintained will last forever. They won’t be sweaty like a goretex boot, and while goretex will be more waterproof at first, the lining breaks down from abrasion and wear and becomes a non waterproof but still sweaty layer in your shoe. Leather is obviously non vegan (boo) but is a great shoe material.

Additionally it has a relatively thin sole which should be good for driving feel.

Well yeah, that first, but I’m not sure it’s enough.

Very cool footage of a Short Eared Owl’s nest on BBC springwatch this year. Short Eared Owl chick are ridiculous things!

It’s almost like traditional Labour voters: workers, the youth, the poor, the elderly aren’t exactly impressed with labours drive to make life in the uk worse for all the above sectors of society and see his spineless grovelling to Reform voters and transphobes for exactly what it is.

So this seems good…

Today Drop Site News is publishing a landmark investigation about the BBC’s coverage of Israel’s unrelenting assault on Gaza by British journalist Owen Jones. His report is based on interviews with 13 journalists and other BBC staffers who offer remarkable insights into how senior figures within the BBC’s news operation skewed stories in favor of Israel’s narratives and repeatedly dismissed objections registered by scores of staffers who, throughout the past 14 months, demanded that the network uphold its commitment to impartiality and fairness. Jones’s investigation of the BBC has three main components: a deeply reported look into the internal complaints from BBC journalists, a quantitative assessment of how the BBC characterizes the year-long siege on Gaza, and a review of the histories of the people behind the coverage—and, in particular, one editor, Raffi Berg.
