I love EDM, but there's a subset/trope of it that annoys the shit out of me. It's songs that rhythmically mute or go quiet along with the beat. It grates on my brain and makes me think there's something wrong with my speakers/headphones.
I can't find an immediate example, but it's usually in YouTuber channel intros or stock/royalty-free EDM songs.

Any time someone talks about how China or India has more pollution than the US, like to tell them that there are more people in those countries, so per-capita the pollution is much lower. And the majority of that pollution is produced by factories that make goods that are sold in the US. So it's pretty much our pollution, we just outsourced it.
"There isn't enough room for more people here" when they live in a country that has over 38,000 golf courses and the average private suburban property is several times larger than the house that's built on it.

I need to get back into OSM. Pokemon Go was the reason I initially started contributing. The game uses (used?) OSM map data, and certain Pokemons will spawn near certain biomes (water, woods, etc).
My little cousin played the hell out of PG around 2017-2018, and they mostly played it around the big park in our town. At the time, the park appeared on OSM (and by extension PG) as a featureless green polygon with a few roads and footpaths. In reality it has a bunch of woods, streams, a pond, playground, public pool etc. So I did a quick readup on how to add stuff to OSM and I gave the park a digital makeover. I even walked around the footpaths with my phone and marked them out with the GPS so that they would appear in the map more accurately.
Unfortunately it was quite a while before Pokemon Go updated its OSM database, and my cousin lost interest in the game by then. But I kept at contributing for quite a few years, adding random stuff in spurts and stopping for a month or two
Sounds like my coworker who argued that veganism kills more animals than meat does, due to the pest control measures that might be necessary to protect crops.
As if pest control isn't a thing in the meat industry from the feed crops, to the feed lots, to the barns to the slaughterhouses. They think the cattle that made the steak they're eating just materialized out of thin air or something and didn’t require a shit ton of energy and resources to grow it.
Semi-related: How come it seems like 90% of the people who say they "don't support the Democrats or the Republicans" turn out to be chuds, while 10% are comrades?
I'm obviously exaggerating that number, but any time I hear that take, I have to brace myself because more often than not it's followed up with gross opinions about trans people or immigrants.
