Is this why centrists are considered wishy-washy? Because yet again, they'll compromise themselves for unrealistic gains with literal traitors to the country, so that they think that they'll appeal to right wing kooks?

On the political ratchet, we've just moved beyond centrist fires up the left-wing base to win election, currently at compromise with right wing to disappoint voters. The next move is losing elections to an ascendant right wing.

As Qatar was doing this in 2019, with Netanyahu's blessing, he's just making sure there's a new enemy strong enough to keep elections at bay. A gentle reminder that Qatar was also just trying to gift a $400 million plane to Trump.
