Ordinary people just trying to live their lives hate this one simple trick.

If titles are anything to go by, murderizing an absolute shitzillion of people makes monarchs pretty great.

I don't see why the shareholders wouldn't want his head on a pike as well.

So? Death from old age is inevitable too, that doesn't mean I'm going to stop breathing or eating. All of life is just postponing the inevitable, but just because the inevitable is inevitable doesn't mean we should stop postponing.

That's cute and all, but it ain't gonna be birds and deer who gets life off this rock once the Sun starts threatening to swallow it in a few billion years. We're screwing up badly in the short term, but we're the only hope Earth life has in the long term.

At least letting them talk in the name of free speech lets you know who the Nazis/fascists/white supremacists are

That's great and all, but knowing who the Nazis are is just step one. Without taking additional steps, that knowledge is useless.

Because people believe stuff they want to believe regardless of evidence. The same goes for religion, politics, conspiracy theories, UFOs, homeopathy, and various other assorted nonsense.

We can’t test for the vast majority of things that we CAN conceive of. How could you disprove that ghosts don’t exist in an invisible, undetectable parallel dimension to our own?

Why would you need to? If they're undetectable, nobody could have ever seen them. Saying that ghosts exists in an undetectable parallel dimension is effectively the same as saying that they don't exist at all and every sighting claim is bullshit.

I'm surprised it took this long, I thought he'd be dead within a week of his failed coup. Assuming, of course, that he was even really on board.

Christianity is “Life sucks and will always suck unless you submit to what we say and only what we say, otherwise you suffer forever”

And Buddhism doesn't say that? The only difference is that Christianity adds "in hell" at the end of that sentence, Buddhism adds "in the cycle of death and rebirth".

Rebirth sucks.

I never understood that part. Maybe the next life does suck, but so what? I'm not going to be there to experience it, and the next guy won't have any memory of me, so who cares? Reincarnation as a concept never made sense to me. You get a new body, your memories get erased... what is even left of you?

Eh, it's still based on completely unfounded, unsupported, and nonsensical ideas. Whether or not there's a personal god doesn't make any real difference IMO.
