Paramount, Sony, 20th Century Fox, Disney, Universal, Nordisk, and Warner Brothers are all part of this "Rights Alliance" group. Each of them have used, or plan to use, generative AI going forward - which, by design, is unable to abide by copyright since it is trained on whatever they can get their hands on.

This is yet more "one rule for them and one rule for everyone else" from leaches that are desperate to profit from the work of others and punish anyone who won't pay into their state-enforced protection racket.

Its the same reason they like to play Born in the USA all the time.

Voat came about when FatPeopleHate got banned Ovarit is similar but for the anti-trans subreddit GenderCritical. Gab is also on there which is an even further right Mastodon fork than Truth Social.

Quick note that I see the article is from PinkNews, who have recently had a large number of former staff come out against their leadership for transphobia, ableism, racism, misogyny, and an incredibly toxic workplace culture. This includes recordings of Cohen saying stuff that frankly promotes this sort of fan behaviour.

This is what the last sentence in my post was about; I shouldn't have to include it. Please try to refrain from doing it in future as it perpetuates the toxicity that Reddit had (and still has) a reputation for. Its fine to pass over a post if you don't know the answer. It is also fine to pass over a post if you would never find an answer useful.

That being said, since COVID lockdowns were lifted, a hell of a lot of places have become card only, making it necessary to carry one. Some people may have the privileges to be able to use cash whenever they want, but not everyone can. There are places where disability benefits disallow you from taking out the money you receive as cash; I think this is some sort of war on drugs thing. Another reason is that women's clothing is quite infamously lacking pockets.

I have degoogled but I find myself missing Google Wallet/Pay despite it being the worst spyware there is. I would like to have both my bus pass and card available on my phone in case I ever get stranded with out either. I've found this app but when trying to emulate a MiFare Classic, it emulated a MiFare Plus and when attempting to emulate a Visa or MasterCard, it just errors out and says to please insert the card.

I presume I need some sort of sniffer hardware like a Proxmark3 to get as much data off the cards as possible, though I'm not really sure how to get the data from there to an emulator on my phone with the intention of out and about.

Please only reply with genuine answers. Any shit about ToS or poor security etc. will be ignored.

I thought it was just crypto scams remaining tbh

Are you from the past? Like 2014?

DNS over HTTPS is your best bet because they can't Man In The Middle and replace it (DNS Poison) like good old DNS. They will still be able to see the IP addresses you are connecting to unless you proxy those connections. nativeproxy uses Chromium's stack so it is much harder to detect. There are UI frontends for it if you prefer but I've never used them. ProtonVPN also has a stealth protocol that I've heard is good, though I don't know too much about it.

Good on you for trying to get around it. That kind of curiosity is a great way to develop your lateral thinking skills. You didn't ask for a lecture and people giving you one should go back to stack overflow comments. If you want to take the risks of it, that is up to you and you are likely to fuck up. That being said, you aren't the only person likely go get in trouble if you fuck up and, unlike you, IT will depend on their job financially. If you do it well enough and make sure you don't get caught by someone seeing your screen or blagging around the school that you did it, that won't be an issue.

IT departments also read comments in threads like this to find the current trends of how students are trying to get around their web blockers so keep in mind that you will need to keep your skills up to date.

If the employer if promoting a union, its probably somewhat in their pocket. Its just an extension of HR. I used to use the printer in the same room as my workplace HR and the union rep would constantly be insulting employees behind their backs to them.

gtk3-classic still doesn't work properly on Wayland and I doubt it will ever be fixed so I include WAYLAND_DISPLAY=0 in each shortcut file to force them into xwayland.
