High school crush. I married her.

The ID on the phone thing is weird. Like I’m gonna give my phone to a cop when they ask for my ID. That’s a nope from me. Same reason why I still print out my car insurance cards even though the information is on my phone. I ain’t giving my phone to a cop for any reason.

In the US, not every merchant accepts phone payments, so we still have to carry physical cards around. Your patronizing tone was unnecessary.

I’m a young Millennial and I don’t understand why you wouldn’t carry a wallet. Mine is a slim front pocket one, but I need somewhere for my ID and cards. I despise phone wallets and I use tap-to-pay where possible, but not everywhere accepts them for some reason. I also don’t carry cash because I’m not a Boomer. If I’m buying/selling something off Craigslist or whatever, I just use Venmo.

Who doesn’t use a wallet? Are they referring to those card holders and not calling them wallets?

Mattermost is a lot like Slack, right?

I would die a happy man if Bloodborne came to PC with even just 60 fps.

ThinkPads are my go-to. I just got an X1 Carbon Gen 9 (i5, 16GB) for $350 and put Fedora on it after upgrading the SSD to 1TB. It’s a beautiful laptop.

Of course, there’s the tried and true T480. Love that thing, especially if you get the right display panel and touchpad upgrades. Swappable batteries, upgradeable RAM. Those laptops can be had for cheap on eBay. Also check r/hardwareswap or the Discord for ThinkPad deals.

XPS 13 units can do well with Linux, too. I’m just a ThinkPad fan.

Just switched to Fedora today on my gaming PC. This reminded me of a few things I forgot to install.

Requiring a PSN account to play the game.

I’m definitely checking this out. I’ve been on the Audiobookshelf beta for a while and it’s not bad, but I want CarPlay support. And I really love this UI. It reminds me of that third-party Plex tie-in for audiobooks that did this same thing, Prologue.

It's for things like Monero, I think.

I have attention issues, so I have to sit in a distraction-free area. No noise of any kind. My wife can read in a war zone, bless her. But I mostly read non-fiction nowadays, because fiction gives me anxiety.

I’m not sure I entirely understand your question. I just sit down and read. I engage with the book much like I engaged with your post — I read the content, consider it, and move onto the next piece of content.
