I think it implies the company is continuing on but that job is no longer a position at the company. Redundant or unnecessary as opposed to a position that they intend to fill again, as you would with a firing.
Lay off is weirder imo.

I cannot stand the caps in these video titles.
It's like doctors might know more about clinical psychology than a judge...
He spent years spreading lies on his show that the victims of the Sandy Hook elementary school shooting weren't real and were part of some sort of conspiracy. He lost a civil case brought by the families of the murdered kids who suffered a ton of harassment by his fans. They were awarded a lot of money that he has so far weasled out of paying.
Joke's on them, I could already browse the internet.
Maybe China's space program could stop crashing rockets into populated areas before making minor nitpicks about other people's achievements.
I have some amazing news for you...
It's also an excellent proof of concept for how to test with antimatter. Anyone who designs a test using anti hydrogen will look back at their methodology.
I would think manned missions would be slightly less prone to this type of issue. Having a person with a brain and hands next to the machinery means that minor issues that are impossible to solve from millions of miles away become trivial (ie. a connector comes loose: just put it back in, dust on the solar panel: wipe it off). It has its own set of dangers of course, but autonomous rover issues don't necessarily translate 1:1 with manned missions.
In the US at least, medical insurance becomes the biggest factor in a decision like this. This lifestyle isn't free, you've got property taxes on 2 homes, utilities for at least one of them, and repairs/maintenance assuming you aren't a slumlord. That's going to stretch that $2000 a month pretty tight. If you can do all that, get decent insurance, and live the lifestyle you want then it seems great. But I'd do the math really carefully and consider what you'd do if you had to have the rented house vacant for several months between renters.
open source client that is even remotely as nice to use as Boost
I replied with a suggestion that met all the criteria... No need to be a jerk to me about it.
People say this and then you look at voting records in congress and you see them fall in line when the chips are down. Party affiliation and loyalty is what gets you reelection funds and spots on committees, there's a lot of tangible and intangible pressure applied from the color of the tie.
