I don't think that's a mini

My justification for calling octopi fish is that I asked a pre-schooler what kind of animal an octopus was, and he told me it was a fish because it breathes water and swims in the ocean. That said, maybe cephalopods could be their own type because they tend to be solitary, which would be thematically relevant to why they wouldn't combo off each other.

It's a big battery. Useful in all cases.

Not people, just conservatives

Honestly, my main motivation here is to pick all of your brains to see how many different category-words there are, then change my game plan to react to the natural language words. For example, if we didn't have words more specific than Animal, Plant, Fungus, and Bacteria, I could slap a four-color mana system on that and call it a day. Obviously that's not the case, but in the unlikely system that I can describe all of creation using only 20ish names i could imitate Cardfight Vanguard and make them into a sort of clan system and do lots of clan-exclusive comboing off each other. Any more than that, I imitate Magic instead: certain cards care a whole lot about types (e.g.: Kavu you control are red in addition to their other colors, Red creatures you control have haste) while others pay more attention to subtypes (e.g.: Tap 12 Allies you control: draw a card) and other just don't discriminate, affecting everything or nothing.

God damn it how did I forgot rodents exist‽ I have three rodent pets in my living room right now and I talk about rodents all the time!

When I was a kid, I was legitimately afraid of this

They are also cool on LA by Night.

Poor girls. I remember when we had to separate our boys and found out that Coffeecake could hop over the walls of our C&C cage

I am a casual who uses Zorin as my daily driver because I like its desktop environment. Since I am a college student, a lot of the programs my professors want me to use were made for windows and nothing else (especially Honorlock) and I'm getting a bit frustrated with all the things that throw a fit when I try to run them with Wine. I also tried to use a VM once and got quite confused.

My understanding of Qubes is that you pick a few operating systems as templates, then when you install an app you assign it to run on one of those templates. I have heard that some people have made Windows templates, which would make running Windows apps so much easier.

To me, the main draw of Qubes OS is to make running a VM just as easy as running any other software. I don't care too much about managing my digital footprint; I just want to make running Windows programs more convenient. Would Qubes work for my purposes? I do feel ready to try new things, like using the terminal.

What purpose does American cheese serve? What problem does it solve?

Also what should we name our new furry son

My understanding of the history of fashion is that back in the 1950s America it was expected that you wore a suit/dress at work unless you had a different uniform. There were a bunch of very boring people who thought that we should be wearing office job garb all the time, because they wore suits so much it was their default style, and since suits and dresses are both conservative and good-looking they were trying to nudge culture into accepting their worldview.

But with our computers, we are living in some boring-ass timeline where the suits-4-life squares won. We are all stuck using The Office Job OS at home, unless you work in a creative field that got really stuck in with MacOS ages ago. I don't want to wear a suit at home. I want something I think is comfy and pretty, which is why I use Zorin OS.

I did not choose to get into Linux because I think it's better for my workflow or because I am weirded out by all the trackers in win11 or because I care that Microsoft is an evil megacorp. I chose to start using Linux because the last version of windows that i was happy to boot up was Windows 7, and I refuse to use something on my own time that feels gross and looks icky. My preference for something that i can just set up and not have to tinker with makes Zorin a perfect fit for me, and I tend to throw a little fit when i have to do something in Windows specifically. I don't understand why so many people are comfortable using the Office Job OS when they could be using something that suits them.

Preemptive edit because I've seen my post be misread twice already: I'm not trying to say that Microsoft isnt an evil megacorp that stuffs their os with spyware and bloat. I think that was the dealbreaker for most of us here. I just happen to have the sort of personality that Apple targets, and I have been struggling to articulate what specifically made me chose installing Zorin OS on a PC using a TV as a monitor instead of just getting a MacBook like my mom. Also its like 1 in the morning where I live and I need to get to sleep lol
