I think the problem here is that being a scientist means you are, by definition, "smart". Which can make it hard to accept when you are being an idiot. And what do people do when they can't accept a truth about themselves?

Speaking as someone who lifeguarded for a big chunk of my adult life, you start tuning out the skimpy outfits real fast. But you could look nice literally anywhere else. The pool is almost precision-engineered to ruin your hair and your clothes and your makeup. Its almost like it was designed to be anti-fashion. Why here, of all places?

But its a swimsuit! That's like making a Display Hammer that looks just like an actual hammer but is just there for the ✨️Hammer Aesthetic✨️ and would break if used to hammer anything. Whats even the point?

Look, russia and the USSR has consistently been led by people who have even less of an idea of what the situation is on the ground than even US politicians. In the US, thats becuase they are bourgeois and live in a world where the banks print money for you. In the USSR, it was because the founders were ideologues who would ignore reality if it didnt march to the tune of their political beliefs and this set the tone for the organization, at least up until they got Gorbachev who was actually sane but was handed a losing hand. In Russia, its because Putin is surrounded by a bunch of bobbleheads who each in turn are surrounded by their own bobbleheads who also have their own posse of bobbleheads as well, and on top of this these bobbleheads are bourgeois who live in a world where the banks print money for you. I have absolutely no idea what motivates the leaders of modern Russia, but i know its not anything that would make sense in the real world or even in the world the bourgeois live in, and I think this mismatch is causing all their issues with the West.

Okay, the titles bugging me. Why would you go to a pool wearing a swimsuit if you don't want to get the swimsuit wet? Smh

Yep! That's the entire appeal of the system! And I want to make absolutely sure that anyone picking up the game knows that they are getting into, because I am well aware that the fact this is my favorite game system says a lot about me as a person

I just wanted to make sure you understood that the complexity is loaded all at the front, during session 0. Its actually a good deal more complex, but you get to pick and choose what kinds of complexity you want and deal with it at character creation.

Also, their supplemental books really helped me grow as a writer and gamemaster. Most of them tackle a genre and explore it thoroughly.
