Love that as soon as his name got attached to Epstein, that he's shifted to damage control and trying to push this narrative that it's been a "radical Left" issue this whole time. And trying to get all his conspiracy people to move on to an election that at this point doesn't matter either way is just full panic.

They filled lawsuits all over the country that they had to withdraw because they had no evidence, yet continue to claim to be ready to release all the "evidence" they have anytime now for years. I think even his Supreme Court is going to find it hard to invent constitution law to back up their conspiracy theories. I would love to see them try though, make it televised, since they are just pissing away tax dollars anyway.

I think his administration has a 2 prong approach to their attack on weather science:

  1. It's an attack on all science that they look to replace with "thoughts and prayers"
  2. If you suppress the science showing how you're making everyone less safe and putting millions of lives at risk, that's good "damage control". Then you double down on "owning the libs" at the same time making crazy corrupt deals with the fossil fuel industry.

I hadn't given this any thought previously, but reading your post now that I have kids playing through my library, and that I'm constantly adding games, this would be helpful.

So for self hosted I found this: Slaanesh

And for a letterboxd feel for games I found this: Backlogged

You just need megamaid!

Have you tried any of the suggested working proton flags on protondb?

Have you tried the default Fedora kernel? Also you didn't install TLP did you?

Well those white South Africans needed that asylum because of the white genocide going on in Africa. /s

Also Trump has to do something to distract his base from the fact he just had his DOJ do a huge Epstein coverup after promising to bring the pedo cabal to justice for years.

Interesting that they would be confused at all. I have an interest, because Canada is cool, but I won't be visiting anytime soon because I know we are the worst and nobody is going to want us there. I also don't want to deal with assholes at the border, even though I'm a US citizen they have carte blanche to do anything they are in the mood for.

It is a bit of weighing the convenience of Steam dealing with your catalog of games, making them all just a download away, and keeping them outside of Steam and needing to come up with your own currarion method. And if you are buying (licensing it - because apparently nobody actually owns their games) the game outside one of these storefronts, you still have DRM to deal with most likely anyway.

Just have to weigh the pros vs cons.

If a group of people are influenced by whatever, and suddenly write a bunch of negative reviews I would consider that a review bomb if they played 0 hours, or 10k hours. Adding the weird stipulation that it needs to be people that never played it is not a requirement I've ever heard. Now is it more likely that the trolls will be people who haven't played, absolutely, because the low cost (nothing) of doing so while the people that play games are actually gaming.

Review bombing is a coordinated online campaign where a large group of people post a deluge of negative reviews for a product, service, or business, often with the intent to harm its reputation or sales. This tactic is usually employed as a form of protest, coercion, or even just trolling, and is often seen in response to perceived issues with the product or its creators.

Have you tried sweeping your forests, I remember that was the issue in California. /s

It's once again that time of year that I dread, well, partly. I find the holidays very draining with the high energy/high emotions surrounding EVERYTHING this time of year. And if you're anything like me, it can be kinda rough. It's going to be OK though, you are not alone, and we will make it back out the other side in 2025.

Until then, be kind to yourself, and you got this!

I just wanted to wish anyone like myself, that struggles with the sheer amount of stimulation and hustle bustle of this time of year, the best of luck. You got this! I know it's not easy, but we will make it out the other side and hopefully not be to mentally drained (fingers crossed).

This is just a post to validate anyone who doesn't feel seen. If you think you might be autistic or have ADHD (or both), your feelings are valid, and I understand.

Maybe it's just me, but hopefully not, but the thing I love about music is when it's able to express and/or make me feel emotions I personally would never be able to articulate.

I listen to alot of "Jam Bands", and I think the greatest draw for me is when you get a band passionate about making music for ppl to enjoy and they can just go all out for 20+ minutes ... It's like your just someplace else and I feel it. It's almost like a comfortable weight (I like pressure/weight on me). If the lyrics are amazing even better!

I also enjoy music that has some amazingly expressive lyrics, but with music that's "raw" (full of emotion).

I just got done watching this [NSFW] video of The Carasmatic Voice watching Rage Against The Machine for the first time. The emotional weight of the song is pretty high for me, and then watching her reactions and break down is just wow. She gives a description and can explain why I feel the way the music makes me feel that way and it's just ... amazing and I love it. Like I feel the rollercoaster and anger and her ability to process and describe it adds like another satisfying layer on top of the music for me.

Sorry for the wall of text! Noted the video is NSFW because Rage is more often than not going to be something corporate overlords are NOT going to be excited to hear employees listening to at work.

I hate the days (like today) that I spend all my free time doing something I find interesting instead of doing all the stuff I know needs to be done, just because my brain finds it more interesting.

(the interesting thing was this site btw)

I hope that this can become the Lemmy version of /r/AutisticWithADHD and be a safe place for all. Creating this community, and instance, has been my hyperfocus since Reddit announced the API changes. It has been a lot of hours in the works, but if I can use it to give back to the community and provide a safe space for anyone with Autism or ADHD, or both, then yay!
