Nope, highlighted to show why the right is pushing to end no-fault divorce, and divorce in general. They see women as objects that they are signing a contract for, and then own forever thereafter. They see them as property to do as they like with.

So like abortion, they play the "family" card, but it's about controlling women and their bodies. The family is just a side effect of the "wife" performing her "marital duty".

“If OpenAI were to retroactively remove profit caps from investments, this would in effect transfer billions in value from a non-profit to for-profit investors,” Jacob Hilton, a former employee of OpenAI who joined before it transitioned from a nonprofit to a capped-profit structure.

I'm sure the investors weren't selling him on the idea that if they got a bigger return he would as well, surely.

With Project 2025 they also want to end no-fault divorce for everyone.

A 2004 paper by economists Betsey Stevenson and Justin Wolvers found an 8 to 16% decrease in female suicides after states enacted no-fault divorce laws. They also noted a roughly 30% decrease in intimate partner violence among both women and men, and a 10% drop in women murdered by their partners.

Just looking at the stats you can see why they oppose it.

Have you seen the video of when they left Don to his own devices (pun intended), and he was trying to pay for a burger at some bar with bitcoin? The two guys running the place basically take his phone from his hands and one does the transaction for him while the other guy keeps checking their system to see if it worked. It was an amazing "grandpa gets a smartphone" piece of video.

Now that I'm not on mobile, and for anyone that doesn't want to search it out themselves.

Imagine being 61 and still having zero idea how the mail works.

Also not sure why it popped into my head, but the thought of this man doing community service (like picking up trash on the side of the road) while a guard blasted "U.N.I.T.Y." by Queen Latifah over and over would just be amazing.

Nuzzi noting to pals that the 70-year-old had impressive sexual stamina

For a 70-year-old? Or is she saying that he masturbates on camera like a man in his 30's? I guess congrats to webcam grandpa for being so tech savy.

Also to fuel the nightmare, I can't stop picturing the video of Trump barely understanding how to do his speaker phone interview with Musk on his iPhone, let alone a webcam masturbation session with a woman 1/2 his age.

His crowd (cult) is a measure of his self worth. He surrounds himself with people that will shower him with praise, and attacks anyone that doesn't feed his ego. If he hadn't started a life of crime so early, he probably would have loved setting up a compound and just living out his days with a cult to control and have them heap praise on him every second of every day.

You could, but then the money goes to some business instead of a grifter. Don't you love America?! /s

I think the idea behind getting rid of it with Project 2025 is the hard anti-climate change denial stance they want to push. And they think if we can't track the weather somehow nobody will notice that the weather events are increasing in intensity and occurrence rate.

Lance Wallnau, a self-described prophet

Ummm .. this guy has/is building a cult. This guy is making up new "Christian" ideas and has made himself a conduit for god. This is Trump bringing this cult into his own, and by doing so enforcing this guy's power over his followers.

OMG, the daily show did a bit where Desi Lydic read a post he made of fantasy sex with his sister in-law, but replaced gross stuff with "smurf".

This officer should have gone to Trump University and and would have learned you can defeat magnets by just getting them wet. A cup of water, BOOM, no more magnet!

Also, did the officer believe upon entering the outside room that they were somehow growing pot plants in the MRI tube behind an invisible curtain or something? Why would you need to walk into the room? Also, buying all that medical equipment would be a pretty big investment as just a front to grow a few pot plants. How does a warrant like that even get signed off on? Increased power compared to other non-medical buildings, and someone who thought they smelled pot? I'm sure it couldn't have been someone in the waiting room that smoked up, or was around someone smoking before before going inside, right?

I just wanted to wish anyone like myself, that struggles with the sheer amount of stimulation and hustle bustle of this time of year, the best of luck. You got this! I know it's not easy, but we will make it out the other side and hopefully not be to mentally drained (fingers crossed).

This is just a post to validate anyone who doesn't feel seen. If you think you might be autistic or have ADHD (or both), your feelings are valid, and I understand.

Music (badatbeing.social)

Maybe it's just me, but hopefully not, but the thing I love about music is when it's able to express and/or make me feel emotions I personally would never be able to articulate.

I listen to alot of "Jam Bands", and I think the greatest draw for me is when you get a band passionate about making music for ppl to enjoy and they can just go all out for 20+ minutes ... It's like your just someplace else and I feel it. It's almost like a comfortable weight (I like pressure/weight on me). If the lyrics are amazing even better!

I also enjoy music that has some amazingly expressive lyrics, but with music that's "raw" (full of emotion).

I just got done watching this [NSFW] video of The Carasmatic Voice watching Rage Against The Machine for the first time. The emotional weight of the song is pretty high for me, and then watching her reactions and break down is just wow. She gives a description and can explain why I feel the way the music makes me feel that way and it's just ... amazing and I love it. Like I feel the rollercoaster and anger and her ability to process and describe it adds like another satisfying layer on top of the music for me.

Sorry for the wall of text! Noted the video is NSFW because Rage is more often than not going to be something corporate overlords are NOT going to be excited to hear employees listening to at work.

I hate the days (like today) that I spend all my free time doing something I find interesting instead of doing all the stuff I know needs to be done, just because my brain finds it more interesting.

(the interesting thing was this site btw)

I hope that this can become the Lemmy version of /r/AutisticWithADHD and be a safe place for all. Creating this community, and instance, has been my hyperfocus since Reddit announced the API changes. It has been a lot of hours in the works, but if I can use it to give back to the community and provide a safe space for anyone with Autism or ADHD, or both, then yay!
