THIS! Thank you so much! Wow. So I changed to my preferred language and now I can see every post in the community I mentioned. But can I set more than one language? What about English communities? Everything seems normal so far, but I don't want to risk losing a lot of content because of my language settings.

Edit: I had to Edit this comment, because I replied to you while my I had activated my second language. Interesting. So if someone has set his Language to Belgian only for example, you will never see his post, even if he wrote it in English. But you can set multiple language by holding the CRTL Key and select you preferred language.

Nope. They both have exactly the same settings.

I compared both setting. They are the same. I thought maybe it's Tesseract fault, but no.

Nope. Both accounts are just a few days old. I blocked 2-3 nsfw communities with my main account. Nothing more.

I just reset my settings for both accounts. Didn't worked.

I just saw that's the case for multiple communities. Little bit annoying cause I don't want to switch my account just to see every post in a community.

Hello! I use 2 Lemmy accounts. The first one for everyday use, the second one for specific, more anonymous use. They both are on the same instance and follow the same communities. But when I look at the same community, with both accounts, I see not especially different posts, but on one account the oldest Post is 7 months old, and with the second account I see every recent post.

It's like im shadow banned or something. Yes im 100% sure its the same community. Even if i go on the profile of my main account I can only see 2 out of 25 posts.

EDIT: The answer to my problem was my language settings! Lemmy blocked a lot of posts because of this. Quite interesting for me because I didn't know that. You can only see posts from people who have the same language setting as you. So if you have set your language to Belgian for example, you will only see content from people who have set their language to Belgian. Even if their posts are written in English. But you can set multiple languages by holding down the CTRL key and clicking on your preferred languages. This is not solved well in my opinion.

Ohhh boy.... how many posts I probably missed because of this....

It seems like this community is unmoderated since 2 years. Unfortunately only admins are able to post, so this community is condemned to death. I would like to bring this community back to life (If it ever lived).

The obvious: I wanted to get high.

I have recently started to care more about my privacy and anonymity, so I am just scratching the surface and still don't know much about it. I know that you should not log into any accounts with sensitive information while using the Tor browser to prevent your identity from being leaked. What about websites (like Lemmy, Masterdon, etc.) that can't leak personal data because I never provide any directly? I use Mullvad + alias email addresses to log in.

What if I logged into my Lemmy account outside of Tor without a VPN one single time? So Lemmy should have received my real IP and location at some point. Could someone find personal data because of this single, unprotected login while I'm browsing Lemmy through Tor?

Thanks for any answers and explanations!

I still use two SL1210 turntables from Technics. They are from 1991 and still doing a great Job. My father-in-law bought them for his Nightclub he owned back in the days.

Assuming it were true, what does that mean for you now? Should I just capitulate, put up with it and try to give a f about what happens with my data?

you should take a look at the article linked by @asap@lemmy.world down below

I love his Music. Every few weeks I have to watch this video. The crowd in this video is so incredible energising and gives me a sense of togetherness and hope in mankind.

Even though my setup is relatively high, it bothered me that my mixer was just sitting straight up. I was getting neck pain. So me and my dad decided to build this stand out of some spare wood he had in his garage. I was just going to make a prototype to see if I liked it and then make it out of some proper wood, but I liked it so much I decided to just keep it.

This was my setup in 2020 when corona was hitting hard. I bought my DDJ-RZ and gathered my first experiences in 2016. After 4 years of fiddeling around I convinced myselfe to go all in and buy a used Xone:92 from ebay for just 800€! My first turntable was a PLX-500. Because it is belt driven, It was quiet hard to beatmatch with it, but after a while I got a feeling for it and had a blast! Mixing vinyl is so much fun! When my father-in-law found out about that, he gave me 2x SL1210 which he used back in the days when he owned a Nightclub! They were in bad condition but I deep cleaned them and managed to fix some issues with my semi-good soldering skills (Just shocked me one time!).

Meanwhile I have 2 XDJ-1000mk2 (You can see my setup in my latest Posts.)

I made a community where you can post your DJ / Modular setup!

This was part of a local Art event. It was all attached to a rotary motor which rotated 720 degrees in each direction.
