The market is already a bit jumpy from the UNH wipeout. The crash may be closer than we think.
This is absolutely unbelievable. My neighbors took down their Trump flag a month ago.
Given how it seems like another Indian-Pakistan war may be just over the horizon, the security forces of the Indian state will soon be stretched thin.
I wonder what the Naxalites are thinking right now? A Communist-Muslim alliance against the fascist Hindutva would mean the state security apparatus would have to deal with…
- A war against Pakistan
- An active insurgency in Kashmir
- A potential insurgency anywhere where there’s a large Muslim minority
- An active Naxalite insurgency in the “red corridor”
Combine this with the social unrest kicked off by this upcoming economic crisis, and I think you can have a winning coalition to win a revolution. Islamophobia is a serious issue though.
Note: The Muslims of India would be very interested in active resistance because they’re currently being subjected by pogroms facilitated by Hindutva paramilitary groups. Resistance in this case can be considered self-defense and offers a modicum of security during these scary times.
Note1: You can probably also include the Christians of India into this broad alliance against Hindutva fascism. I know you have many St. Thomas Christians who have had to flee India because of repression.
White European immigrants arrived at Ellis Island with legal status freely given as if it was candy meanwhile it’s the brown “invaders”…
Note: The Treaty of Guadalupe-Hidalgo forced Mexico to surrender half its territory to the Anglo invaders. ¿Quién es aquí el invasor?
… who have to deal with ICE, gray legal statuses such as “withholding of removal” orders and a lifetime of legal hell if their criminal record is not spotless.
I’m absolutely tired of this bullshit. How about we start talking about deporting all of these white supremacists to some labor camp in Alaska for rehabilitation? I think Stalin was on to something here.
Not being able to own a home has been a very acute and visible example of capitalist decay for some time now… and this is a phenomenon which overwhelmingly effects young adults.
Older adults were able to buy their home for much cheaper back in the 90’s or 00’s. That is to say, older adults arn’t as financially desperate in relation to the youth. This influences the politics of individuals.
We really are heading for a third World War arn’t we?
Historically when it comes to stock market crashes, a foreign market will have a smaller correction some time immediately before a larger and more serious correction in the United States.
The NEP was characterized as state capitalist to differentiate it against the lower stage communist stage that was supposed to come afterwards. Lower stage communism was a particular definition for socialism used by Lenin.
Lenin would not consider the “Socialist Market Economy” to not be “socialism proper” i.e, not lower stage communist. However, he may consider the SME to be socialist in the same way that the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was during the NEP… that is, aspirationally socialist (willingness to realize Communism) or a proletarian dictatorship.

Has the KKE made involvement with mass organizations part of their strategy? In particular, mass organizations other than unions?
One million workers are about 1/10th of the population in Greece… that’s a lot of people. How has the KKE been doing in terms of elevating the ideologically intermediate to the advanced?
Under capitalism, perfectly good food is left to rot while millions of Americans starve.
