Most of car's costs are milage related. Wear and tear mostly happen from using it. Some insurance costs scale based on milage. Oil changes, tire changes, gas, other repairs, etc mostly scale with milage. So even if you can't replace the car, if you offset 3000 miles over the lifetime of the bike, it mostly pays for itself (although after 3000 miles on a weighty ebike, you might also need $400 in repairs/maintenance and maybe like $50 in charging costs?

But offsetting is a big if. Im certainly lucky where I live (granted I have based where I live partly off having bikeable infrastructure)

If you are able to replace a significant amount of driving with biking/ebiking but walking isn't viable, then $1500 is still pretty cheap.

Would probably be followed by a wave of CEO resignations though, if such was accomplished.

Makes sense if they were caught, the system would bring a case against them. But given the facts of the case, a reasonable jury should find them not guilty.

Given I have a milk allergy, I guess it would partly depend if the whey triggers it or not. I think it's the casein that's the issue, so a bovine casein protein used to make certain vegan cheeses would probably be off-limits, but I haven't tried pure whey.

Guess I'd be open to trying it, but given the price, it's not of interest currently - it would need to get below oat/soy milk for me to think about it. Secondary products using this type of tech would be cool if it could become cheaper than current alternatives.

Given the state has been working on a database of trans people in the state, I'd probably say no amount of money unless you are coming from a similarly awful place or worse.

Given I don't go out that much except to work (where I boymode), so can't really say much about day-to-day experiences if you are visibly trans. I stay in Texas because its where my family is. I haven't had any issues with getting HRT through legal avenues.
