They hang out in my yard. When they are in my yard I walk out holding my dog so they see him. They watch while I walk out into the yard and I say “I’m letting him down now”, then as I lower him one of them invariably lets out a really unique short screech and they all run off to the woods followed by my dog running full speed, stopping at the tree line, and then carrying on doing his business as the deer stand off in the trees watching him in the yard, waiting for us to go back inside so they can come hang out in the yard again.

Name of my dog. I put it on there because my groomer lets me take his treats and I guess probably a habit from labeling things my kids would take to daycare and school.

I hand wash them. I run my dishwasher after my tap water is fully hot from the water heater (just checked with a thermapen: 129F) and use “Hi Temp” wash (135f (54c) main wash 140f (60c) final rinse) but also use “Sani Rinse” which raises the main wash to 140F and rinse to 156F (69c). I don’t use the dry function, I just open it when it’s done and everything dries really fast.

I don’t put anything in my dishwasher that I wouldn’t put in the oven or microwave.

Edit: other than my tableware and stuff that I wouldn’t put in the microwave just because sparking I meant)

If you didn’t notice before checking I uploaded a large square one full of greenies dog treats that I could barely palm. You’re welcome, I was motivated to make sure I wasn’t wrong!

These are the fullest ones I have right now. I keep my flour and sugar in snap lids though. Edit: I shook them all before the picture

Edit2: I filled his greenies one, it was hard for me to palm and shake but I did shake it with two hands upside down before the picture:

I plug my phone into a DEX dock under my desk that connects to a 22” monitor and a normal keyboard and mouse. I think the other person was offering that type of solution already exists.

I have oxo pop ones that look really similar and they all seal really well. Are the ones in this image different or did I just luck out?

I’m on team tab 100% I guess I was saying if someone felt they had to use spaces then they shouldn’t handicap everyone else because of their choice and an interpreter could normalize their code.

A real government would look into ways to just give basic income to creatives (and ~~anyone~~ everyone else) so even if they didn't have to slave away illustrating for corps, they could focus efforts on art, themselves, community, or whatever else drove them. That's how you operate in a post-scarcity world.

But nah. Capitalism.

My only windows machine is my work laptop with windows 11 docked to three monitors. The other three are mint, endeavor, and qubes hosting several systems. I prefer Linux but the performance of the work laptop has never been an issue even if I don’t like it. I can reboot, connect to the vpn, have word relaunched to a recovered copy, and be back in a teams meeting with outlook open and Jira up in 5 minutes or less. I have to do it once or twice a month because something stupid stops working while I’m in a meeting. These 15 minute reboots, make coffee between, and other similar commentary comes across as wishcasting. There’s plenty of reasons windows sucks. My company has all kinds of stupid agents installed on it that negatively impacts performance also. McAfee was the worst, I’m glad they got rid of that but that wasn’t a windows problem either.
