Silent Running... what a great, prophetic movie.
The 1st American Civil War never ended, it just went cold for a few decades. It started heating up again with Nixon's "Southern Strategy", and has just been getting hotter ever since.
I will be shocked to hear anything other than a steady litany of I cannot recall at the trials.
Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Now we know where congresses spines all went.

They don’t need bunkers. This is what the billion dollar yachts, private planes and multiple homes in many jurisdictions are for.

The U.S. was never a democracy to begin with. The Constitution decreed that only rich white males had the vote. Excluding a majority of the population makes it an oligarchy, not a democracy.
