I... guess? I don't know how I would classify these games. But they all are able to steal from me 8h in a day, no issue :)

Project Zomboid, Rimworl, Dwarf Fortress, Stellaris, Starsector...

I don't live so far north, but good, light, waterproof boots. Of course, everything else people recommended already - good gloves, socks, jacket, and layers. But for me personally, boots would be the most important.

My ADHD kids are not aggressive, on the contrary. And each one of them behaves and reacts differently, especially without/after medication.

I'll try my best to give some answers.

  1. Lack of focus, getting lost in thoughts, or hyper focusing on the wrong thing at the wrong time - my kids get up at 6:15am to catch the 7:25am to go to school, and somehow that's still not enough time... Also, taking 4h to do homework that otherwise would take 30m.
  2. Like I mentioned, my kids are not aggressive or hyperactive, they are on the other side of the scale - while my boy has a large group of friends, my middle daughter has none (she is also diagnosed with ASD), and it's really difficult for her to fit in. My little daughter does have a bit of an extroverted personality, and she really tries to fit in and grab the attention of people, but most kids push back. She fits right in with the adults though, becoming fast friends with our (the adults) group of friends.
  3. Nothing in regards to aggression, but my son and middle daughter go to therapy, my middle daughter also goes to group therapy (for kids with ASD). Also, they all take Ritalin in the morning, and that helped quite a bit, especially at school, but it was not a "fix", just a helper.
  4. It can be overwhelming at times - mood swings, overreacting to the smallest issue, crying for hours for not finishing the test in time, or forgetting the school account password... We have many talks, trying to reassure them as best as I can.
  5. We did a lot of reading, from online articles to books about ADHD, talking to a couple psychiatrists, but probably the best resource was my wife's own ADHD diagnosis. She did a lot of research!

If you have any questions, please ask.

I do twitch a little when I hear someone saying bravi to a single person :)

We use digital ocean for a pre-production k8s environment, as well as other stuff, no complaints. Terraform works great with it. My only issue is that the worker nodes IPs change during/after an update, so we have to update our firewalls a few times, while the update is running, and after it's over.

The EU has been burying their wires for a while, and new members are doing it too. Romania used to look like 2nd pic, not so much anymore. It works.

True, but if I used alumnus instead of alumni, wouldn't I just sound pretentious?

Interesting, is that a comfort thing? Like wearing headphones everywhere with nothing playing in them?

It's uncomfortable for me too. I asked HR to keep mine private at work, but before this I would just react with a like to the wishes and write a short thatnk you all at the end of the day... The late wishes I would just ignore...

How is duckdns unreliable? I use it just to have wireguard access, been using it for years. Just curious about your issues...

Hey people. I have a bit of a niche situation. I use my phone with my left hand. When I hit the full screen button in YouTube or Jellyfin or any other app that can go full screen, the screen rotates to the right. So, if I rotate the phone the "natural way" for me, to the right, the image is upside down. Usually it only takes a second for the screen to rotate to the correct orientation, but sometimes it just refuses, so i have to do a weird dance with my phone (portrait-landscape-portrait-landscape).

Any idea of a way to "fix" this? I use a pixel 8, if it matters.

it's been a few quadrons for kaleun on the rim. it's a bit crowded now, 9 people and 8 mechs living in a couple of shacks... but we'll have to make due for now. she's a hard worker, sanguine, has a bunch of hobbies with no time to work on, but at least she's passionate about them :)

(random plus generated, looking for passion in social & intellectual - this was roll 9900)

One of the best private trackers out there. Sorry to see it go... You can read the reasons why in the link (in Romanian and English).

UPDATE: it's no longer shutting down:

We were overwhelmed by your wishes and messages!

You know that over the years, I've always said that the community has a significant voice. Your words have always mattered, and we've never been indifferent to them. Your voice has been heard, even now.

I am delighted to announce that the website will not be shutting down! Donations are now reactivated, so everything is returning back to normal.

One of the founders of the website, God, is back and will take over the technical aspect to ensure the site continues to thrive. He is trustworthy, loyal, and things will certainly go well from this point of view. However, we also needed someone to take care of the other aspects of the work. From now on, Oana will handle everything related to the staff, server payments, and all the internal matters that a SysOp does. She will get promoted to the SysOp class. She is more than capable and competent to maintain control and ensure that everything runs smooth internally. Congratulations!

Together, they will continue the necessary work to keep this website alive.

That being said, this announcement will be my last. I, EboLLa, am permanently retiring from the community. I want to personally thank you all for all the private messages and wishes you've sent me. There have been so many, and I genuinely appreciate them from the bottom of my heart. You are all wonderful, and I appreciate each and every one of you! I am and have been honored that I could contribute to your well-being! To all of you. Farewell and take care!

So let's wish Oana and God best of luck!

With love and appreciation, EboLLa
