Cheers for your advice! Honestly it's extremely unlikely I'd do it myself. I'd need to get at tonne of scaffolding and I wouldn't know anything about attaching the panels to the roof or doing any of the wiring!
On a normal system, if the grid goes down you cant use you solar or battery(may not be a problem for you), for this you need a back up box with off grid capability.
Is this because there's no way to dump any excess electric back into the grid? I don't think this is too much of a worry for me though, I don't recall a power outage in the past 8 years of us living here! touch wood

For people without off-street parking - like those living in blocks of flats or terraced houses - charging an EV overnight can often be challenging, while on-street charging points can be far more expensive than charging from a mains socket.
What about offering people without a drive but with an EV some kind of discount when using public chargers?

I'm going to start looking for a new phone soon to replace my OnePlus 6T, and the 13 looks so good, except for the fact it's absurdly huge. I wish the 13T was released globally!
I think the only other option is the pixel 9, but not sure about battery life and slower charging.
