I'm a bit scared of vipers, haha. Did they leave when you were getting closer? Were you just in the Pyrenees or are these pictures from another time? Really loved it there and I want to go back for more.
I'd usually have zero problems with cross posting, it's usually because someone is interested in the topic or appreciates the post. Good intentions. I have been cross posted a few times before and thought that was neat.
The last post of mine that got crissposted to corvids apparently got removed by the sopuli admin for being "spam" lol, I guess someone reported it.

I don't think what they do could reasonably considered being "tasteful". Honestly bums me out on the fediverse, makes me not want to post to crows because i will get angry when minutes later the repost comes in.
Hello bird friends. I have created a pigeon community to not post too much pigeon stuff here, as i don't think it fits all that well, but on some occasions i feel like it'd be fine to post. In a metro station. Pretty damn cool how it was sailing all the way down the long escalators.
This young pigeon showed up in our yard a few weeks ago. It was searching for food pretty much all day below a feeder that's hanging in the garden, desperately looking for scraps that the finches and tits would leave. I felt a bit sorry for it. When it made its way to the balcony i gave it some seeds but quickly stopped doing so again, because it started squatting the balcony for the whole day. I don't want it to think that life is about hanging out on the balcony, waiting for someone to show up with seeds.
A few days ago then i was watering the balcony plants in the evening and noticed pigeon shit on the basil. I looked up and there it was sleeping:

It must have slept there the night before already. I moved the basil and built some kind of poo catcher. Quite impressive how much poo it left in a night 😅 It stayed for about five nights but yesterday it did not show up, i guess it was too busy on the balcony. Still leaving the poo catcher for now in case it shows up again tonight.

Not the Verbena bonariensis? I think it looks very much like that one, although i now read they grow 150cm tall, sometimes 180. I just measured mine and my guess was pretty good, its 195cm tall.
