I feel like if I neglected doing a critical function of my job for a year and then grudgingly half did it so that I can coast a few more months, my boss would probably fire me.

How many trans kids in an age bracket in a single sport across the whole country do you think there are? For any team sport, it would be difficult to field a single team, let alone another team, for them to play against.

As a trans person, I kinda don't give a fuck. There's so much going on at the national level, I don't need them to devote speaking time to it. So long as I can continue to count on them when it matters, of course.
My state still does that and requires an updated birth certificate and social security card. My birth state requires an updated driver's license and secondary ID and court order. I don't have the energy, time, and money to argue with 2 states, the judicial system, and multiple federal offices, and get a therapist to sign off on the fact that I'm not just submitting myself to all this as an elaborate prank.
For me, the highlight has been growing a guild with my friends and all the awesome folks I've been guildies and friends with along the way.
