The most important thing is the "11 million."
Studies have shown that as little as 3.5% of the population can cause a "Tipping Point," and create a trend. America has a population of 335 million people, so 3.5% is just bit over 11 million. They are trying to reach a tipping point with just the protesters alone. For every protester, there are many more at home, posting on social media, talking to their family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc.
Why is it they only have articles day of? It feels like they have a vested interest in making sure it is in public discourse without actually giving people any lead time.
So there's no coverage, and yet MILLIONS of people show up at hundreds of protests around the country? Somehow they heard about it.
This sounds like a YOU problem. Perhaps you should be a little more proactive and find the information you need, rather than waiting for the corporate mainstream media to spoon feed it to you. Shallow thinking like that is what got us here in the first place.
My point was more that I don't trust their motives.
Yeah, I also was frustrated, but on the other hand the date was known well in advance and the locations largely are the same as on 4/5.

Ok. I like the energy but where was all this fervor when it came time to vote? I don't understand. I mean I do. Kamala was boring af but come on. We already had one round of Trump. What did y'all expect?!?!
And it will continue to do nothing. Until the violence starts, nothing will change.
Or general strike
Good luck with that. People won't be willing to do a strike, at least not for any length of time that would make a real difference.
Realistically speaking how does that work? No one can afford to lose their job and necessary goods have to get purchased.
So idealistically (I know, there are regional, logistical, financial, and other challenges, but idealistically) the people on strike are actively pooling and distributing their resources to help the people who are put out worse by it. That hopefully sustains people long enough for the strike to win out and for people to return to work with their problems remedied.
This is the way.
And he will still be in power afterwards.
