I think I've reason for this is that using LLMs is basically outsourcing all cognitive capacity to a machine, so the cognitive decline is comparatively bigger.
Does using a calculator cause a cognitive decline? Absolutely, but since you still need to know the order of operations (at least with simple calculators), how to interpret brackets and such, it's comparatively small. Same with, say, a thesaurus. You do outsource a part of cognitive capacity used to learn big words, but still need to know grammar to string sentences together.
With ChatGPT though, you literally do almost nothing. Asking a simple question is all you need. This means your brain doesn't need to work at all, and getting used to that means it's harder and harder to make it work when you need it to...
It's absolutely not okay, but since there will be no negative consequences for it whatsoever, it's the new normal. This is sadly what happens when laws are not enforced, and I'm not sure if anything even can be done anymore...
Not sure if worst, but quite likely the stupidest. I'm no genius myself, but the amount of utter (and aggressive!) stupidity that surrounds us is so exhausting...
Exactly. I'm a terrible liar, can't do it to save my life, so I have huge... well, not really respect, but maybe bafflement towards people who are able to spout this caliber of bullshit with a straight face.

Exactly - such labels would be ignored even more than the ones on cigarettes are, especially by the addicts. And it's so much easier to completely hide them too - adblockers already hide a lot of content people don't want to see, this would just become another line in the filter list so fast...
Trump just desperately wants to nuke something. Anything's fine, he just wants to drop a nuclear bomb on stuff. I mean, he was floating nuking a goddamned hurricane before.
