itt people who conflate declawing with trimming cat nails.

trimming is necessary; not trimming a cat’s claws can result in cat injury as they can’t unhook themselves from carpets and furniture.

have you ever seen a cat with long nails get up from threaded textures? they do NOT look happy.

Huh? Declawing maybe, but not trimming their claws.

If it does hurt, my cat doesn’t seem to show it at all/he literally just sits there and doesn’t move/will sleep through it.

That's a lot given how buried this story is in relation to all the other shit happening and all the other bills that don't get any feedback.

The couch loves you back. The couch loves you back. The couch loves you back. The couch loves you back. The couch loves you back.

Another bullet for the bullet point list.

If you have the latter, you probably have the former.

I feel like they’ve been trying to scrub this from the internet/this comment used to be a lot more findable.

Those wouldn’t last a day in my house.

US or not, ProtonMail is owned by a Trump supporter, I’d stay away from them.

In an effort to temper my expectations for Alien: Earth, I'm trying to remind myself of some of the weirdest/worst/oddest Alien lore decisions that were revealed in official Alien universe installments, including:

Any others? I seem to recall there being a humanoid Alien queen, but iirc she was just a nightmare vision.

how tf do you warm up plates? (self.nostupidquestions)

i recently learned you're not supposed to run a microwave with nothing in it/it can fry itself broken.

but i want to heat up a plate to help keep the pancakes i put on it warm like they do in diners. putting just a plate in my microwave causes it to start freaking out 'cause i guess there's not enough stuff in there to absorb the energy(? this is what google tells me).

are the diners just putting the plates on a burner on low? that feels wrong.
