It's always hilarious when I put on some kind of "10 hour music mix" to have something playing in the background while I do household chores or something, and then the next time I want to find something to watch I now have nothing but a cumulative 6000 hours of various music mixes in my recommendations.

It's the same absurdity of buying an appliance online, and having the website say "Our records show that you are starting a refrigerator collection. Would you like to buy 7 more?"

So much of this article describes my parents perfectly, but I just can't agree with the conclusion that they know that they are choosing to believe comforting lies. That would imply a capability for introspection that I've never seen them demonstrate.

One NGO employee told the authors of the report that “there are hundreds of nudify apps” that lack basic built-in safety features to prevent the creation of CSAM,

I love the pearl clutching around lacking safeguards against non-consensual child nudity in specific, as though an app that is designed to generate non-consensual nude images of adults is the gold standard we should be aspiring to and the only problem with this idea is this one teensy little edge case they forgot to consider.

I love how if you've even been paying a passing amount of attention to this atrocity propaganda campaign over the past several years you will have seen a thousand instances of sensationalized claims and accusations that are inevitably walked back a few months later.

But there's just something about the cognitive dissonance of the average liberal who is desperate for a justified conflict with a scary foreign adversary that they are allowed to feel "uncomplicated, nationalistic/patriotic pride" about that makes them keep saying, "sure, you may have fooled me the first 1487 times, but I'm feeling really good about lucky number 1488!"

The only reason you don't consider these acts to be genocidal is that you live in a world where America still has influence over how their crimes are reported and recounted on the international stage. Once that control of the narrative is lost the world will correctly look at the crimes of the US with the same derision that is currently reserved for Nazis.

You still have vision even when your eyes are closed, and even the small amount of light that gets filtered through your eyelids as the sun rises in the morning is a significant enough stimuli to trigger the biological responses that are related to regulating sleep and managing your circadian rhythm.

I mean, ask yourself how many times you've seen Biden and other Dems insist that is very important we have a strong and respectable Republican party in this country?

I think they're in on the game.
